An alternative to the high-rise boxes
Lovely grounds, a half mile of beachfront and well-kept, spacious rooms were the highlight of our visit to Los Tules. We loved the feel of the place -- rooms are in 2-3 story buildings scattered throughout the campus. A wonderful alternative to being boxed up in a high rise!

Quite satisfied
Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony with a great view though not all are like that. The AC fan had only one speed, but it did work well. Night time the ceiling fan was adequate for cooling. The grounds are well kept and very attractive as were the pools which were not crowded and well located. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The poolside restaurant with a view of the ocean had very good food at reasonable prices. Service was excellent! The stoney bottom kept us out of the ocean, although the beach was quite and never crowded. Los Tules is a little spread out and it is about a nice 5-10 minute walk from one end to the other. All in all a great place for a very good price.
Traveler's tip on shopping
There is a shopping mall right across the highway with a large grocery store and food court as well as several small restaurants, a department store and many boutique style shops.
