Great Location, Free Parking, Free wifi, Free breakfast
I was running the half marathon portion of the Kansas City marathon so I wanted a hotel that was close to Crown Center so I could walk there in the morning of the race to avoid traffic and parking congestion. This hotel was perfect for that. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to Crown Center. It’s easily as nice as either of the more "upscale" hotels attached to Crown Center, but really at those places you just end up paying for the name. None of those locales offered basic perks like free parking, breakfast, or in room wifi access. The Fairfield Inn is thoughtful enough not to gouge you for these things. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the downtown KC area.

The staff were great and went the extra mile for anything we wanted.
It was good, basic lodging and the staff were attentive and helpful.

Did the trick
Nice atmosphere, newly remodeled, would have been nice if they had shuttle service to the baseball stadium though, which was the whole reason for the trip.
