Great Location & Great Value
The Coutyard Marriott was well located 3 blocks from the museum of modern art.You can’t beat the price for that area of San Francisco.Hotel was quiet and clean.Staff was attentive.

Would recommend
Great hotel - my expectations were not high - I was booking for location close to a business address where I was having a training. I wouldn’t recommend it for a pleasure trip to SF only due to the location. I like the wharf or Union Square areas for that.
You have to see a show at A.C.T. Theater, 415 Geary St.

Marriott exceeded my expectations
My stay at the downtown S.F. Marriott exceeded my high expectations. They granted my request for a room on a higher floor and in the back of the hotel, away from the street. I had a view from my window of the Oakland Bay Bridge. A wonderful view both day or night. My flight got bumped up to a much earlier time, I called the hotel a couple days ahead of time. Of course they would hold onto my luggage. When I got to the hotel, they actually allowed me to check into my room early. I was very surprised and happy about that! I stayed at the hotel for three nights and the room was wonderful, clean, quiet and comfortable. I would be happy to stay there again.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
This hotel is in the downtown section. The businesses cater to the Monday through Friday daytime client. I was there on the weekend and walked a couple blocks down the use street car (the Muni is there as well) and I always felt safe. Even when getting back late at night.
