Not impressed
Arrived at hotel and they did not have my room. Showed receipt from Expedia and they gave me a temporary "upgraded" room. The bathroom was nasty. Rust stains were formed from the tub rail down the tub, there was mold in the tub/shower area. The carpet was disgusting. The room that I was moved to was not much better. Still mold in shower, carpet was disgusting also. I asked for non-smoking room. None of rooms appeared to be non-smoking. Was awakened almost nightly by smoke in my room from others smoking. Was very offensive. The hotel in general smelled. Cannot quite pinpoint the smell. Would definately not stay here again.

Shopping was wonderful. Hotel was very close to pedestrian mall.

Average Hotel
The location is great. The room is average. I would recommend the hotel if you won’t spend a lot of time in the hotel. The room was clean but small and very basic. There is a moldy smell in the rooms that takes a little getting used to as well. Free internet service and in-room computer are a nice plus.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Visit the "knock-off" mall that is just a few blocks from the hotel. My group of men and women made three visits!

Not impressed
The only positive for this hotel is the location. The hotel service, rooms, food all have a lot to be desired.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you just need a place to stay in the Main Area of Shanghai (Nanjing Rd.), location is Prime, Pacific hotel is not a bad place. But the rates are not worth the kind of service provided in the hotel.
