An excellent hotel, superb service.
The Executive Inn Rivermont in Owensboro, Ky is an excellent choice if staying in the Owensboro area. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and professional. We’d arrived an hour or so before check-in and they make arrangements to put both parties on the same floor within 10 minutes, eventhough only one of the reserved rooms was ready. The food in the hotel restaurant (atrium cafe) was superb. The only minor annoyance was the air conditioner in the room had a chattering compressor, however, that was better than not having A/C ;). Regardless, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone that travels out that way.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel is in downtown Owensboro, with several stores and cafe’s/restaurants within walking distance. In addition, the Bluegrass Museum is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, right down the Ohio River. There is also a band shell adjacent to the hotel that frequently has bands and events, as well as parks and a fountain all within walking distance.
