Good as 2 stars hotel but they can do much in service
The hotel is well located if you are going to take a cruise. Price regarding with quality and comfort is ok. I think that the ladies in the reception could be more kind. In that way i think that the service could be better.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t take taxis in pireaus or athens are very expensive or don’t accept the first price that the taxi driver tell you.

Good Hotel
The location was great and the breakfast was very good. Everyone was most courteous and the service was good. I would stay there again!

It was a great location to view the street life in Piraeus. Watching the traffic and street life from our balcony was facinating. Everyone at the hotel was most accommodating and gracious.

Great hotel for a night’s stay before catching an early ferry
We just got back from our trip to Greece. We stayed in the Argo hotel two non-consecutive nights (before and after ferry trips). The Argo hotel was a good option to stay in Piraeus, Greece if you are catching a ferry at the port early in the morning. The hotel is about 5 blocks from the port. It wasn’t that far, but keep this in mind if you are carrying 50+ lbs of luggage (I suggest bags with wheels). The neighborhood was a bit sketchy at night, so I wouldn’t advise going out alone, but if you are traveling with someone else, I think you’ll be fine. The rooms were small. Just wide enough for the bed and literally 1 foot to walk around the bed. The depth of the room was normal. Our room had 3 single beds, with space for each plus 18 inches between beds. The beds weren’t particularly comfortable, but served the purpose. The rooms had air conditioning and private baths. The showers were tiny but clean. The staff was courteous and helpful and spoke English. The bar downstairs had a wide selection of food and drinks. There are a few bakeries and places to get food between the hotel and port (and adjacent metro station). Overall, the hotel is well worth the price if you are looking for a cheap place to shower and sleep for a night.
