Located a little out of town
This hotel was a nice, clean and comfortable hotel however it should be noted that it is not walking distance from the main restaurant/shopping area of Rotorua.

Great hotel for that price
For the price and service charged, I think it is a bargain. Location is where other motels ( most are one level buildings, compared to 4 storey Rydges) are; and is inbetween the downtown core and the Te Hua Maori Centre. Location is very convenient. Parking is at the side and back of the hotel. There is no charge for parking. Hotel is a main street ( not too noisy) and is right next to a race course. Don’t know if that creates excess noise, as we came in late in the evening and left at 9 am. Breakfast was okay, and is a typical buffet breakfast, with bacon, sausages, eggs, baked goods, fresh fruits and beverages. Can’t complain. However, no air conditioner in room. Maybe, the temperature here does not get too hot. TV is large flat screen TV. A pleasure to watch.

Excellent Experience
We were very pleased with our recent stay at this hotel. It has a beautiful marble tile foyer and lobby. We had a jacuzzi tub on the deck, overlooking the race track. Large, quiet rooms. Close to everything in Rotorua. Service was spotless and fast. We could not have been more pleased with this selection.
