Extremely disappointed
My husband and I made a speial trip to this hotel to celebrate my birthday. What a let down. Our room had stains (looked like from water damage) running down the walls, the carpet was stained badly, the toilet wobbled every time you sat on it, and the room just had a dirty smell to it. The hallways were very dimly lit and I was almost thankful for fear what I would find if it were well lit. This hotel cost us the same as a room at the Carlton down the street (which we finally checked into) and there was NO comparision in room quality, bed comfort, or staff service. Will never go back!

All Show, No Substance
Insanely expensive hotel; no wifi or internet availability in my room (found it unbelievable that I was recommend by the hotels concierge to steal the wifi from the Carlton Hotel across the street); loud construction across the street, with a large dirt pit facing my room; poor view from balcony, not facing water or anything truly aesthetic (other than the dirt pit !!); the gall to attempt to charge an unbelievable amount of money for a continental breakfast (a basket of bread, coffee, and juice) which is almost always included with hotel rooms in Europe ... all in all, an incredibly incredibly poor value ... the 3.14 Hotel bases its marketing efforts on being trendy, chic, and all about vibe, but its exceedingly expensive cost, coupled with the truly marginal benefits the hotel guest receives, makes this among the worst experiences for me in many years and definitely the worst value for your money in Cannes (and I travel for business extensively, and stay at upwards of 40 hotels per year) ....
Traveler's tip on dining
Poivre Et Sel, 21 rue du Suquet ... an absolutely great traditional French cuisine restaurant in Cannes, on a pedestrian walk area ... great vibe, attentive staff, and the food was brilliant ... Escalope a la Creme will rock your world !
