Continiously Satisfied.

This was our 4th stay at this hotel. Our first visit was in 2006, and when we saw the wall of fame – we were like who comes to the same place each year. We are now becoming one of those couples. We have been continuously satisfied. This hotel never lets us down with our expectations. It’s not the Ritz Carlton but it’s also not the Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is not club med - but there are many activities if you like that. We hope that if you go, you also enjoy what we like to call now - home away from home. .

We always take Tim Air. If you plane to schedule a 15 minute flight with them - they have also been consistent with service. It definitely beats the 1.5 hour van ride.

Going back!

I’ve been to Jamaica several times and even though each resort was excellent, I would have to say this one was the best of the all. We were there the first week of November and we are already planning on returning in March. I highly recommend this resort!

Great place for first timers and Newlyweds

We went for our Honeymoon and it could not have been a better experience. Everyone was great and the activities were a lot of fun. And they make some great drinks.

Amazing Honeymoom Destination

We visited Swept Away in celebration of our honey moon and it was fabulous. There are so many things to do on the resort you dont even have to leave. If you choose to venture outside, the information/trip booking staff is wonderful. Food was amazing, rooms were clean, comforable and accomodating. Margaritaville is walking distance and Rick’s is a must. Can’t wait to go back!

to be that relaxed....

We would definetly go back. except for one speed bump of our room not being ready when we arrived, everything else was great. the people were really kind, surroundings beautiful, plenty to do without leaving if you didn’t care to and loads of activities you can arrange if you want an adventure. I wish I was still there!

It Was ok

I have stayed at Couples Ochos Rios and the hotel condition was much better than swept away. Upon arrival, they gave us a different room than what we booked. They told us that they ran out of the rooms that we booked and there was nothing that they could do. The rooms were a little outdated and were not in the best condition. Feathers had amazing food. Be sure to book your excursions on the first day that you get there as they fill up fast!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Buy all liquor at the airport, much cheaper!!!

Pretty nice, but not over the top luxury

This place was a very nice vacation. The food was VERY good. The drinks were ok. There wasn’t a lot of premium liquor. The continental room service was a nice feature, but they never got our order completely correct, nor was it on time, which was almost a problem on our check out day. The hotel was beautiful, the hammocks were relaxing, and the plush foliage was very nice.

Our favorite place

This was our fourth time to Jamaica, and second to Swept Away. This visit cinched it, Swept Away will be our destination for all future trips to Jamaica, and there will be many. The resort is beautiful, rooms comfortable, food excellent, and staff absolutely first class. It’s a place we want to take all our friends to share how wonderful it is.

We would love to still be there!

My wife and I decided on Couples Swept Away based on the reviews of others and the pictures. We were not disappointed. From the time you get to their reception area at the airport to the time you check out, you are treated to a level of service that you only dream about in the states. While we did have an issue with our bathroom the first night, the management staff made every attempt at making the situation right. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite the next morning and they sent a free bottle of wine to the room. The beach on the resort is amazing and the food was top notch (Feathers & Lemon Grass especially). I would recommend CSA to anyone looking to travel to Jamaica for an exciting, relaxing, and blissful getaway with the one they love.

Traveler's tip

You can get some good deals on things like art, clothing, and even water sport activities, but never take the first offer. Also, know that you will pay more for certain items on the resort. If you can wait to shop at the airport terminal then do so as you will find most of the things you find on the resort their as well for a lot less money,

Just returned, and can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at Couples Swept away for 12 days, and overall this was amazing. Everything was perfect: the hotel service, the beach, the water sports (included in the price - isn’t that amazing!), the food - top notch. We didn’t even expect the food to be this quallity, it compares to a really good restaurant food. Althought The Palms restaurant was being reconstructed, we didn’t even notice it. The Patua has taken over the buffet service at breakfast and lunch, and the dinner was the best at Feathers (have to make a reservation there). The beach was the best we have seen, and we’ve been almost to all of the Carribean. The rooms were sort of small and with outdated decor, the bathrooms tiny, not the 4 star hotel type, but very clean, had everything necessary. We didn’t use the pool (also kinda small), but I gotta tell you, the waters of the sea were pool-like: really shallow, crystal clear and so calm, that it actually felt like swimming in the pool. The palapas at the beach were scarce, but there is plenty of shade under the trees right on the beach, so no worries about getting sun burnt. And the diving IS really wonderful there. We got certified at the resort, and were diving every day for free. Also used the hobby-cat a couple of times (also included). Overall the hotel grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Try to get a room in the Great House. They are bigger, and ours had a perfect view of the sea. The Great House itself was build completely sound proof, so no worries about the noisy highway, running close to the hotel.

Can’t wait to go back

My boyfriend and I went for a week. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly. Everyone was extremely pleasant and made our stay wonderful. We do not have children so staying here was a plus because it was cozy and romantic and there were no children around. Our room was very comfortable and the hammock on the balcony was great as well. There is just enough to do and the food was excellent. This is definitely a "couples" resort! I would definitely love to book another trip and hopefully this one will be longer!

Great Place To Relax

My girlfriend and I spent a week in at Couples Swept Away in August 09. We both had a great time at this resort. The beach is AMAZING! It is the best beach I have ever seen! The food was pretty good have to try the jerk chicken. The drinks are very good as well just ask for the top shelf liquor instead of the lower quality liquor.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

The catamaran cruise from the hotel was Great! It brings you down the coastline to see the caves ,Rick’s Cafe and the castles on the water.Bring money with you before you jump in the water and swim to inside of the caves.Once inside it costs you $3.00 to jump off the cliff from 30ft.Do it!

Great location made the trip!

Experienced power outages/surges in our room in the Great House 4 of the 6 days we were there! Difficult to plan moments alone in the room w/ your mate because the maid service was sluggish and unpredictable. Great location/property for those who want a real stretch of beach. Watersports and excursions included give you a nice cross-section of things to do on/near the property, but be sure to speak to Ms. Jacqualyn at the Tour Desk as soon as you arrive. Best rates, combos, and variety of al a carte activities! Disappointed that all inclusive except for the hotel photographer. You have to shell out money per pic. Front Desk was ill-prepared for checkout on Sunday when many people were departing. Get there an hour early! Hard to find too much wrong with Jamaica though!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Do the triple combo day tour that the CSA Tour Desk has put together. Best price around for Black River, YS Falls, and Appleton Rum Tour combined. Lunch incl., free Rum tasting, and cheap Rum gifts!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway !!!

I seriously recomend this Hotel, the beach is BEAUTIFULL and I am from Puerto Rico, The rooms are extemely comfortable, and the food is great. The staff is excelent, they bring you fruit and cold towels at the beach. It is a little far from most atractiones so try to squeez in an extra day to do your site seeing. The arts and crafts market near the hotel is not worth the trip AT ALL, do yourself a favor and don’t go.

Not OVERLY impressed with CSA

Make sure to get a room with a TV. Not much going on here. Beach is a few miles from public beach so beware locals will walk down beach and hassle you. Make sure to bring bug spray too! We were bit by bugs constantly during our stay and this became very annoying! Ants are also EVERYWHERE. Last night of our stay went into bathroom to find sink literally covered in ants, DISGUSTING! I thought by reading reviews of this place before visiting that it would be FABULOUS, only to kind of be disappointed. Okay place if you’re only looking to sit on the beach with tons of other people and enjoy drinks all day while eating mediocre food.
