Excellent Hotel for Adventures in Mykonos
I was very pleased with my stay at the Kouros Hotel. Upon arrival, I learned that I had received a room upgrade. The room was huge with a balcony allowing for unobstructed views of the Aegan Sea. Being able to watch the sunsets on my balcony was delightful, something I looked forward to every evening. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The exercise facility was appropriate for my needs. In fact, it was very refreshing to find the owner of the property in the exercise room working out with her guests. I have been going to Mykonos for the past 7 summers. I have stayed at several luxury hotels on the island. The Kouros Hotel exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be staying there next summer when I return.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
While visiting Mykonos make sure you check out beaches other than Super Paradise and Elia. There are some amazing beaches on the island, including Fokos, Panormos and Ag.Sostis. Also, there is a village in Ano Mera. There are several tavernas in the town square. I had some amazing lamb chops at one of the tavernas there. Also, the food was much better and a lot cheaper than in town.

NICE & QUIET
The hotel is nice but very quiet,if thats what you are looking for - its perfect! The staff is extremely friendly. We stayed there because the hotel next door (Cavo Tagoo) had no rooms available. Its also quite a nice walk to the town, not 7 minutes like someone suggested, more like 15 and watch out for all the cars, atvs and mopeds passing you by as the streets are narrow and no sidewalk for pedestrians.

Poor Service - Poor Location
Hotel was located on top of steep hill quite a distance from town and a real trek from the busses to the beach which were on the other side of Mykonos Town, as were most of the restaurants. Had view of a with a big crane in front of it which was working most of our trip starting at 8 AM. No view of the town however Service was non existant and the staff was totally uninformed about things to do around Mykonos - like Delos, the most important site. Could not even get us a taxi and they made no attempt to help us with this althogh I had an injured foot. Pretty but thats not enough for the high price they charge.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Delos is a must see - it is the most important archeological site near Mykonos -- a short boat ride away. Most beaches are gorgeous.
