Clean, comfortable, safe
We chose Siena as a destination midway between Tuscany’s vineyards and the city of Florence, and the Hotel Garden offered a good price for one night’s stay. Our room was clean, the staff spoke English, and I would stay there again with two caveats. 1) The hotel is far from town center where all the shops and restaurants are, so if you want to actually see Siena instead of just bunking there overnight, this may not be the best option. 2) The hotel is expensive for food and drinks. We were charged 8 euro (more than $10 US at the time) for two Diet Cokes at the bar. Overall, though, a lovely place to spend the night.

Very nice.
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. Although they served dinner at the hotel, we chose not to eat there. The dining room was totally void of atmosphere so we drove into the center of town. The continental breakfast is served in the same dining room. It’s ok for that. They do have a huge outdoor terrace that overlooks the city and must be wonderful during the warmer months. We were there in early November so it was not in use.
