Conveniently located near Kings Cross Station
Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury was conveniently located- a ten minute walk from Kings Cross Station. I would not have been comfortable walking from the station to the hotel after dark. The room was clean and reasonably priced (for London). The staff was not always helpful (when I was checking in, I was told that the I would need to come back later to have a second room key made.) Internet access was quite expensive.

Convenient and friendly
The Holiday Inn Kings Cross was amazingly convenient, with easy train/tube access from airports all the way out to Cambridge. With a very friendly staff and a wonderful fitness center, its a hotel that Im sure to choose again.

dirty, hot and rude
We booked two double beds, got 1 double and a pull out couch. The couch had dirty sheets on it, and it took over an hour to get them changed (and only after we became loud in the lobby with our complaints). The windows dont open, and the thermostat has a 2 degree variability. So if you like to sleep a little cool (we do), youre out of luck. We turned off the heat as soon as we entered the room, but it didnt cool down (in December) by the time we had left 48 hours later. We had made sure to book a hotel with a treadmill, as my husband and son run every day. They wouldnt let my 11 year old son run on the treadmill. Instead, they had to go run out in the middle of London... and nearly get hit by a taxi in the process. So much for ammenities. While there was one person on the staff who was apologetic, in general, they were pretty rude about our experience and not helpfull at all. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. It is far from it. Avoid it.
