Nice Hotel with Great Cafe
We stayed at this hotel to be near our brother who was having major surgery at GUMC on the campus of Georgetown University. The hotel lobby is gorgeous. Our room was average at best; the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is plain and small. The rooms could use updating (like the lobby). The location right on campus (for those visiting with students or hospital patients)is a huge plus and the best part of staying there. The close proximity of a "Starbucks, "Cosi", and a fabulous bookstore (in the same building) was really great. The "Epicurean Cafe" is terrific. We ate lunch and dinner there every day and never tired of the food. The "cafe" is large with a fabulous choice of food; the biggest salad bar I’ve ever seen. The food is excellent; loved the ice cream! The bar next door is also nice with live entertainment and happy hour (great martinis). While staying there for a few days, we got a feel of what campus life is like...and it’s good!
