Excellent hotel for a great price

Una Hotel was everything we had hoped for and more. We had two rooms, each was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was extremely nice and the choices were extensive. The location is excellent, quite near the train station. The staff was professional and very helpful with local travel information. We would definitely stay there again.

Practical, but average or below

If you need to stay near the Milan train station, it is inexpensive and less than 10 minute walk. Hotel has clean appearance in lobby and restaurant. Rooms are large, but there were stains in the carpet and mold in the bathroom tile. Also, the kids stayed on a sofa bed which wasn’t extremely comfortable. Front desk is polite and helpful; generally seems like a "tour group" hotel, with groups coming and going. The breakfast was ample and convenient, but the drawbacks in the room were unpleasant.

We took a half day city tour with Last Supper, Duomo and La Scala tours included. Saw and learned a lot and really enjoyed--kids too.

Ok for Milan and the price

This hotel was ok for Milan and the area. No too impressed however the location is really good and staff was friendly. Breakfast is good as well. Room condition ok not too impressed and rooms are lot smaller. We went to 6 major cities in Italy so compared with hotels in USA I would rate this as 2.5 to 3 star definitely not 4 star.

The staff was very nice and recommended a wonderful Italian restaurant.

The hotel is located in a very central location and very close to the Metro. We enjoyed walking in the city.

Parking - The hotel has available garage parking which is great while traveling around Europe in a rental car.

Not bad

Stayed there during our European trip. Very convenient location near the Central Station which is where you arrive by train into Milan. A bit far from downtown, but it’s an easy subway trip to anywhere in Milan and there’s a stop at the Central Station. Hotel seemed a bit spartan, but adequate. Breakfast buffet was nice and included in room fee. The staff was very friendly, professional, and multilingual.

Decent Hotel

UNA generally met our needs but the hotel rooms need upgrade. The rooms are on the older side but acceptable. The bed and the sofabed are uncomfortable, they are soft and my back hurt after sleeping there for a night. The electric water boiler does not look very clean and as result, I did not use it at all. The bathroom is clean but not impressive. The plus sides are the room is very spacious. There is a good size supermarket 3 minutes from the hotel. It is close to the terminal/metro. We do not need to take taxi at all during the stay. The metro station is just 3 stops from the town center. There is a more local shopping area (a main street) around 5 to 7 blocks from the hotel. If you are looking for regular shops rather than the designer brand shops, this will be a good area to go.

My hotel in Milan

I chose the hotel for my last three days in milan to relax and it really did what I hoped. It was conveniently located near the train station and the subway towards the middle of the city. If you want a good view of the city, you have to ask for a nonsmoking room which are the top two floors in a 17 story building. The view was awesome. I would definitely stay there again if I visit Milan.

Traveler's tip

Definitely learn the subway system as its the fastest way to get around Milan. Way cheaper than a taxi. A 24 hr ticket can be bought around the stations at the newspaper stands for 1 euro. Do not get caught without a ticket on the trollys or bus because they do random checks at different stops and cite people without them. (about 40 euros but can be used in place of a ticket for 72hrs) Better to buy a ticket.

Beautiful confortable rooms.

It is difficult to find spacious hotel rooms in major European cities. This hotel has them, and they are very confortable, trendy and spacious. The location is good, two blocks away from the train station and the metro, unlike most train station areas it is very safe. The only problem is parking, there’s nowhere to park and they let you park in the facilities for a steep daily price. Didn’t like that at all. They charge you an extra fee for WiFi (around 6 euros for 15 minutes), which is pretty common throughout Europe. I left too early and didn’t get to try the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. In general I was pleased with the hotel.

Would definitely stay again

Very close to train station and good restaurants. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good area and walked to shopping area on Buones Aires. Huge,comfortable room. A good value in an expensive city. Hotel arranged for taxi to the airport and they were very prompt as well. Will definitely stay there again when in Milano.

Make sure you leave the main door of the train station to make it easier to find the street. Very close but a bit confusing if you go out the wrong door. Convenient and very comfortable.

Good location

This hotel was close to the train station, and also not far from shopping. The hotel staff was very helpful with all our needs and questions. We traveled with a family of 8, and a lot of luggage, and they were very helpful in getting us accomodations to the airport.

Very Nice

A little hard to find, located interior to the block, but that also made it relatively quiet.

Great location and even better staff!

Hotel is an easy walk from the Centrale Stazione where the metro and the trains come together, though it is a bit hard to find at first. Restaurants and shopping are all around. Every room is a huge suite, even by American standards, decorated in campy sort of aging modern style. Great breakfast; only fair inhouse restaurant for dinner. But by far, the staff is their best asset...helpful, multilingual, attentive...even the charming bartender gave us special treatment. We felt immediately comfortable due to their fine service.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

There’s a bus that goes from Malpensa to Centrale Stazione, but it has many stops. We instead went by train (Malpensa Express) from the airport to Cardorna Station, then took the Metro to Centrale. Better? I don’t know.

Below average hotel

- some workers do not speak English at all - Breakfast is below average for a 4 star hotel - Does not reflect four star quality

Last Minute

This was a last minute trip....looked for something inexpensive but not trashy and this fit the bill. Train station and metro very close...Sheets did have some stains (coffee?) but overall I would use again.

Great Hotel

Excellent facilities with super nice staff. Rooms are very large.

I would caution travellers regarding the neighborhood.

The neighborhood is a little risky being close to train station and a adjecent to low income neighborhood. We were warned by locals including the taxi drivers. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous.

Not impressed

It wasn’t really nice. As soon as we cheked in we found trash in a garbage can, beds are very small and uncomfortable. Location of the Hotel was good. Also, they have a good breakfest.

Great Family Hotel

This hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The windows had black-out blinds which were great for sleeping.

Great Milan Hotel

Overall the hotel room was simply amazing..close to milano centrale train station; room has a great view of the city. The room was spacious-wish I could have stayed their longer; the biggest hotel room at a bargain price in Europe.

Nice hotel to stay

It is a well managed hotel with its staff willing to assist you under every circumstance. They fulfilled all our requests. It is located near Central Terminal Station and it is easy to reach everywhere easily. Anyone can choose this hotel without any worries.

Good value, spacious

This hotel was a good value for the money and very convenient to Milan’s central station. The free wireless internet was good and the room was bigger than any we have stayed in throughout Europe. It is a little far from the historic center for walking (30 minutes to the Duomo), but well connected through the metro. Also, the hotel is located off the street a little, which is kind of confusing when finding it for the first time.

Traveler's tip on dining

There are not many restaurants nearby, but venture to the other side of the train station and towards the center for more options. Two we liked that were close are Limone and Pane e Tuplipane - within a five minute walk on the same street.

Mostly great

Once inside the hotel, it was a great experience. Breakfast was the best. The location near the train station was helpful, since we were traveling from Rome to Milan by train. The neighborhood was a bit dicey. This was evidenced by the gates surrounding the complex in which the hotel was located.

The most helpful front desk I found in a long time. But it would be nice if they had wifi throughout and didnt charge a fortune for it. I’ll not stay here again as I cannot bother to go the front lobby twice or three times a day for my email, and then pay a small fortune for the "priviledge." This place needs to include internet access in its basic rates and get it to all rooms. I am not an unusual traveller--I need email access when I travel.
