Bedbugs, attack now!
This is an old motel that has had a new facade installed over the old outside balconies. The inside is still same old, tired Mo’ 6 kind of place, with the AC units in the ’hallway’ and old, thin mattresses. Oh, but I got free bedbug bites thrown in, at least 15 of them! The staff seems pretty sparse also, as we didn’t get maid service the first two days. Maybe that’s why they have bedbugs...
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Be sure to call and check open times for things. AAA guide is not always right! We missed seeing the Detroit Science museum because it was closed on a Monday. Bummer. Detroit Institute of Arts is nice with some excellent artwork. Drive Belle Isle Park and be sure to go over into Windsor, Canada, but don’t forget your passport.

This hotel is very old and warn. There has been an attemt to do some remodeling but it still shows its age a great deal.
