Good value for graduation weekend
For the price, we were quite satisfied with this motel. It is INDEED within walking distance of the U of O campus. There was an available PC to use in the lobby and, in the universe of "free hotel breakfasts" this one was certainly above average (of course, I’m partial to biscuits and sausage gravy... which is, surprisingly on almost ALL breakfast menus in health conscious Eugene). Only one complaint: the coffe maker in the room did NOT work, and the staff response was essentially, "that’s too bad". Fortunately, free coffee was available at the office. Another tip: take your breakfast at the big seats 8 wooden table in the reception room... not at the little tables in the "breakfast room". Bigger, comfortable and has a nice view of their aquarium.

dog hairs on comforter but otherwise okay
only issue was presence of a lot of dog hair on the comforter. Otherwise motel is okay and convenient for Eugene visits
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
the front desk has cards for discounts at the Boulevard Grill, and there are other places with happy hour pricing

Getting Worse
We have stayed at this facility many times over the past 11 years. First it was independent then Travelodge and now Days Inn. Each turnover has seen a lessening of quality, particularly in the maintenance and cleanliness of the rooms. We will probably not be back!
