Good Deal for Ft. Lauderdale

Not a bad hotel. The rooms were nice; they looked newly remodeled. The outside of the hotel needs some maintenance. They charge you to park your car ($4) at the hotel, but I guess everyone does around there. Continental breakfast was nice. Overall-a great value for the area.

Dont bother spending your money here!!

This hotel was dirty, they actually gave us a room that the door been broken into and where this man was starring in all night. If you have a gun its no problem.. However there is nooo parking in there small garage inwhich we scratchd n dented the truck trying to get in/out and they charge for parking to club hoppers or other than guest at night so we had to park in street and they still tried to charge us for that nite of parking. I loss more $ there than actual payment to the two rooms i bought. If you want to lose your money this is the spot for real.. Good luck and u were wornd now!!

Traveler's tip

There is alot to do in this area. You could walk around shop, bar hop at nite, there is a great pizza place! Just dnt get rooms at the ramada

Not impressed

The room looked like a cheap motel. The housekeeper did not clean the room correctly or fill up on necessary supplies like towels and other bathroom neccesities. The front staff was not helpful and did not provide basic supplies like toilet paper when we asked for it. They were very rude and told us we had to wait two hours before they could provide us with toilet paper. The pool was closed for maintenance and they were suppose to re-open the following day at 1:00pm. The pool never opened while we were on the trip the entire time.

I’ll never return and either should you

Hotel bathroom toilet had brown rings around the rim of it...gross. Hotel needs painting badly. Daytime staff ok ...but lady who works at night has a "don’t care" attitude. She ignores guest standing at the front desk and God forbid if you need her help....her face says it all.

Stay only if you must

Very comfortable, good value

This hotel was well kept and very comfortable. The breakfast was good, the pool was just right. Not fancy, but far more than adequate. We will be staying here on return visits. It’s an extremely good deal for the price.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Hollywood is a vibrant community. The Ramada is right in downtown, close to the restaurants and entertainment. Take advantage of the great food, stroll in the evening, and definitely take the trolley (twice an hour) from Circle Park to the beach. Hollywood Beach "boardwalk" is a blast.

Some problems

The rooms were neat and clean, and the maid service was great. It rained really hard and we had a pool of water outside our door, which came in on the rug. They did squeegie outside the door several times, but we still had a puddle to contend with whenever it rained. The parking garage is old and really tight getting in and out of ( it is underground) if you have a large vehicle you have to jockey it around the posts.

Traveler's tip on dining

We had a great meal at a mexican restuarant down the street.

We got the bad room

Our room was near an elevator. The nook by the elevator smelled of urine. The carpet in the room was always moist and the tile had a strange film on it that made it slippery. The people who work there were nice and competent. The area around the hotel was cool. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Overall satisfied

My friends and I stayed here on spring break. The rooms were regular hotel rooms, nothing too fancy but was great just to crash. The location is amazing with a beach less than a mile away and local bars and restaurants up and down the strip. There is a shuttle that brings you around which was convienent. The employees were snotty but who needs them? Overall we really liked this place. The free breakfast and pool were nice as well.

Good location

This is a terrific location if you’re interested in Hollywood, FL. All the retaurants are nearby and the beach is bus ride away. Nice garage to keep the cars in that is underground so no parking on the street like Miami.

Worst Hotel Ever Stayed IN

This hotel is filthy! The maid service basically did not exist. Had to move rooms 3 times. Elevator was filthy, parking slim and cost. Management at the hotel did not give a @#$@. Complained several times about service. Continental breakfast was atrocias. The only good thing was the location, otherwise very overpriced! This is a motel from the dark ages, would never reccommend to my worst enemy.

Traveler's tip on dining

Could walk to restaurants, but stay away from the wine bar across the street, two swingers tried to pick us married couple.

Great location!

My husband and I weren’t expecting much because the price was reasonable but we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel lobby and pool areas were landscaped beautifully. When we were there, no one was using the pool, so we took advantage of the privacy. The free "continental breakfast" turned out to be a whole lot more than just a roll and coffee. They had juice, cereal, french toast, pancakes, bagels, english muffins, bluebery muffins, danishes, doughnuts, and coffee! The best part was the location. It was only a mile from the beach. On the same street (Harrison) and around the corner (Hollywood Boulevard) were restaurants and outdoor cafes of all ethnicities! All within a very short walk! We would definitely come back!

never again...

room was filthy---empty bottle under bed, used coffee stirrers on floor, when door was closed to the room you could see outside as the door frame was worn away...safe did not work...this property had outside access to rooms so it should have been more like a motel, rather than a hotel...

Great hotel for the price we got!

Pleasant rooms, nice pool, parking lot in building, and decent breakfast. The hotel is right in the middle of downtown Hollywood, Florida, a pretty high-end community with lots of nice restaurants and vibrant night-life. Hotel staff are professional and helpful. Good for kids. Recommended

Nice but older area

Older hotel that could use some cosmetic updates. Pool is nice, breakfast very nice, walking distance to restaurants and night life. Nice areas to sit outside.

Traveler's tip on dining

A lot of good restaurants within walking distance.

Very comfortable and great location

Housekeeping found a pair of pants I left after I called them. They mailed them to me by simply charging a modest fee to my credit card. I was most appreciative of the honesty and cooperation.

Needs renovation

Hotel musty. COMPUTERS: they do NOT have normal Microsoft package--they have Works. Decent printer & web, but cannot edit or print Word or Excel documents. Only King beds were rooms outside elevator (didn’t want to be woken up at night by those coming in) & on pool deck. Deck room fine-but I wonder if it is not as updated as others. NOT in as good shape as it looked in pictures: tub porcelain chipped. Pool smaller than it looks in pictures. Hanger wooden bars popped out of metal-when I checked in I had to fix them to hang my clothes, though I was running late-housekeeping should have fixed before arrival. Elevator is scary-very hot inside. I’m not claustrophobic, but with the ka-thunking sounds, I had valid concerns about winding up stuck with heat stroke! Cheapo microwave. Breakfast so-so. Frozen french toast; dry once cooked & left in warmer. Make-your-own waffles are better. Should use something other than styrofoam, since it is the worst environmentally. POWER OUTLETS FAR from useful places, except bathroom. Had to stretch cell & computer cords to limits to put them anywhere but the floor, & then was worried about tripping. Nightstands are not next to bed since lamps would not reach plugs then...this makes it hard to reach the lamp from the bed! Too many things plugged in with non-surge-protector outlet expanders. PARKING $4 per day; not enough spots on weeknights, some VERY hard to get into. Closet safe in room. Housekeeping DID pay attention to my "do not disturb."

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is a short drive away. Good place to walk, run, rollerblade, or chill. Lots of restaurants, but all pretty casual. Restaurants near the hotel are more upscale, cheaper than say Las Olas in Lauderdale, but not super-cheap. Nice little wine bar directly across the street from hotel!!
