Wonderful Stay!

The hotel was beautiful. The bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was FANTASTIC, although be prepared that it is alittle pricey. I booked this hotel for 3 nights prior to a cruise. We were in walking distance, about 4 minutes with luggage, to Canada Palace where the cruise ships dock. Great local restaurants all in walking distance. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Upscale affordability downtown

Not bad for the price. Good service, nice rooms. Would have liked to check out the "signature club," upstairs, but that WAS too pricey. View of downtown, not water, is what cuts the price down. Hotel staff were courteous, helpful, and very attentive. Good cookies on check-in. Avoid the restaurant in the hotel unless you are too tired to go anywhere else!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Don’t drive. If your event is downtown, there is plenty of public transportation available. We were able to get to Stanley Park by foot, and to Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain by bus. VERY easy. Parking, on the other hand, was outrageous.

Downtown Vancouver

We stayed two nights at the Delta Inn and Suites in Vancouver over Labor Day weekend. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Gaslight District and the trolley loops. There are several coffee shops within two short blocks of the hotel. There is not a pool, but there is a health center and restaurant in the Delta. The bus lines stop in front of the hotel, and taxi service is plentiful. Overall, we had a great stay in Vancouver. Upon returning home, I realised that I had left a few articles behind. I called the hotel and housekeeping had turned in the articles to security. I received the articles by regular mail one week later, which was good considering the distance. Add an honest staff to the other benefits of this hotel.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Vancouver has trolley services that take you to the major attractions. We used the Hop On, Hop Off service which had two loops, red and blue. Granville Island is on the loop, and worth visiting. You will do some walking, but it is an easy walk. Worth going for the Market Place and the views.

Just a short weekend, but for ever memories

We just went to Vancouver for a weekend to see a Concert. But these Two nights we were staying, were relaxing and just great. One big plus is also the location for the price. I do highly recommend Hotel to anybody.

Nice hotel, friendly staff

I stayed here with my mom before our Alaskan cruise. The room was very comfortable and clean. We did experience false information from the concierge, stating the ferry to Victoria would be a $25 taxi ride. When we took the cab it was actually $80. I had just wanted to point it out so that it didn’t happen to someone else and mentioned it to the sales manager that happened to be in the lobby at the time. She was extremly understanding and took care of us. It was very generous and unnecesary but appreciated. I consider that excellent service. I would recommend the hotel to my friends. The location is ideal for being close to restaurants and the pier.

Perfect location, very nice hotel

We spent 2 comfortable nights. The hotel is within walking distance of Stanley Park and the Aquarium by way of a nice waterfront stroll. Beautiful city! There are many restaurants within walking distance, including the Gastown historic district, very close. The bar was not opened during the hours posted (we would have gotten a nightcap elsewhere before returning) but that was our only complaint. We would stay here again.

Tour operators pick up at this hotel for trips to Grouse Mountain (gondola on cables to the mountain top, lumberjack show and grizzly bears) and to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, both enjoyable.

Nice and Cute!

We spent three nights at this hotel. It’s nice, clean, cute and within walking distance to Canada Palace, where our Alaska Cruise boarding. We had the prem. suite with a pull out sofa bed for the kids. Requested a microwave. We liked all aspects of the hotel with only one exception - parking. But it’s in the city and there is a parking lot right next to it. If you self park from 6pm to 6am, it’s $5.

Excellent place to stay

Usually I don’t bother to do reviews like this, but I felt the Delta Vancouver Suites deserved a pat on the back after my recent stay. I was very satisfied. Location is very good - walking distance to all there is to see in the Gastown district. The staff is very friendly and helped me plan some extra days of personal time in the surrounding area. I would stay there again. Two thumbs up!

Great Hotel

The checkin was speedy. We were offered an upgrade to the Club level for a modest fee. We took the upgrade and received Signature Club benefits. Our room was on the top floor, far away from the constant road noise. Staff was very pleasant and always ready to provide assistance.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

When visiting the city, select a downtown hotel near Canada Place and Gas Town. Do not rent a car while in the city. Take a cab in from the airport (32-35 dollars one way). Worth it since parking is scarce and costly. Travel the city using the bus system or the Hop On and Off tourist bus. Stanley Park is a full day visit.

Great spot next to Vancouver Convention Center

Great hotel, 2-3 blocks from convention center, cruse ship berthing, seaplanes and near the start of the seaway walk that surrounds the downtown island. 2 block from the north vancouver ferry to gouse mountain a must see. Short taxi to english bay and the park at the end of the island. Cleanest hotel I have ever seen and I travel for a living. Staff KNOWS all of Vancouver and surrounging areas.

Best Find in Vancouver

This hotel is located in downtown Vancouver near the water, Gastown, and easy access to locations of interest in the southern part of the city; Yaletown, Granville Island and Market, 4th Street, etc. It was less expensive than a U.S. hotel of similar caliber.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Consider a trip to Whistler Mountain, home of the 2010 Winter Olympics. There is an exciting sea plane flight to the mountain and a scenic train ride back to Vancouver. Look for Mountaineer Tours for information.

Delta Suites Hotel in Vancouver is a Must

I loved everything about this hotel. The location, the staff, and the rooms were all amazing. I also got a chance to eat at the restaurant one night and thought the quality of both the food and the service were tops. I highly recommend this place.

Pretty Nice

The room was nice and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay there. Only thing I can complain about was when I checked in and the lady that helped me. Seems kind of annoyed with helping me.

Exceptionally helpful and professional staff

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. It is extremely clean and the staff at all levels are hospitable, helpful and professional. The only negatives are the prices for parking($148 for six days) and meals in the restaurant($7 for a glass of orange juice).

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Meals are expensive in Vancouver, so be prepared. Eat at Steamworks. Great food and beverages, only slightly overpriced. Forget eating at Joe Fortes, very overpriced. For a good breakfast for $5.50, try the food court in the building right across the street from the hotel.

Great Hotel

This was a really good hotel in the middle of everything. I could not ask for anything more. People were very friendly and always with a smile on their face and willing to help. Beds were really comfortable. Bad: They charge for wireless/wired internet in the room. If you dont mind just go down to lobby and ask concierge for free password.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Use public transportation (very efficient) as much as you can unless you dont mind spending 100 dollars a day for car rental plus parking charges (30/overnight at hotel).

Best Hotel

People at front desk were very courteous, prompt and very helpful, whenever we asked for directions or restaurant suggestions. We had a nice corner suite with water view. Can’t wait to go back!
