Service outstanding
The Inn at Laguna Beach is in a lovely location, on the beach, and within walking distance to downtown and many great restaurants. We also could have taken a shuttle to the wonderful summer art festivals. We had a balcony outside our room that overlooked the pool and the ocean--every morning we watched them systematically clean and prepare the pool area--we were very impressed with the quality of this hotel’s maintenance and upkeep--when we had a problem opening our window, a hotel employee came by quickly and assisted us with a smile.

Not Impressed, Would NOT Return !
The location of this hotel is nice, right in the heart of dtwn Laguna Beach. The beds are nice. There are amenities like a mini bar and fridge, beach chairs and beach towels in the room, which is convenient for tourists. They offer complimentary breakfast in the room....but do not get too excited as this consists of a week-old dry muffin or microwaved biscuit and the fresh fruit they advertise translates into an orange....unpeeled. The staff seemed extremely inexperienced, clueless, and downright rude. They charged me for parking twice and then insisted I must have had 2 cars (hard for me to drive 2 cars, yet they didn’t seem to believe me when I explained I only had the ONE car). Then they charged my room twice, they explained they didn’t understand how Expedia worked and even though I had prepaid the room, they would have to charge the room cost again as they didn’t know what else to do. When I asked for a manager, the "superviser" came out and said, "Oh I see, you have two rooms and both are paid for by someone else". (This was not true, I was there alone, prepaid the room thru Expedia...thats it). I went thru this process at both check-in AND checkout. It was very exhausting and annoying. The service/staff at this hotel is the I will not stay here and will recommend others stay elsewhere. The view of the room was of the parking lot, I could have had an oceanview at another hotel for less money.
