not cheap for a Sheraton

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the past few years and this Sheraton is too expensive compared to other Sheratons. It’s too expensive for what you might expect but a good place to stay.

A very comfortable stay

This hotel was a delight. The accommodations were very comfortable and the views of the ocean were beautiful. As for negatives, the hotel has some age and was not spotless. I noticed a couple of minor stains on the carpet, and the windows were dirty from the ocean salt. The room appointments were adequate and functional. The paintings and furniture were generic, and the TVs were large but older tube types. I had a minor disaster there, the room had a bad water leak while I was away. However, the manager was most gracious: he had me moved from a standard room to a corner suite and sent up a complementary wine and cheese tray. All the staff I met were friendly and happy to help. Both rooms had wonderful views of the ocean and the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Those two points plus the friendly service will bring me back for another stay.

The corner suites have access to adjoining rooms which make them great for large families. An ocean-facing room connected to a corner suite has a king bed, two queen beds, and a sleeper sofa.
