Nice Hotel
Nice property. Fairly close to Convention ccenter-3 long blocks.

Nice hotel for the price
We stayed one night before catching a cruise out of Tampa Marina and since we were flying from the other end of the US we thought getting there one day earlier would keep us from stressing about time constraints. (Which turned out to be a great idea since there were issues with our connecting flight and our van from the airport to the hotel. So when we finally arrived and got to relax at the hotel they had The Woman of the year dinner going on and we were invited by others that were going - which we declined due to sheer exhaustion. But we had dinner at the restaurant there and then relaxed in our room. Great food in the restaurant and we were celebrating my 50th birthday so the gal treated us even more special. We would stay at Hyatt again if we are in the neighborhood.

Nickle and Dime for Everything
Not impressed by this hotel. You get bare bones room with anything that is though as standard costing extra. The biggest thing is the in room fridge - while a mini-fridge is standard in seemingly the worst hotels, at the Hyatt, it costs 10 dollars per night to rent it and even then, they do not have a fridge for every room. If the hotel is entirely booked, for example, there will not be enough fridges if everyone decides to pay 10 dollars for the fridge. The wireless service costs 10 dollars per 24 hours and the cheapest parking is $14 a night (for self park - it’s $18 for valet per night). The only good thing with parking is that if you self-park, it’s unlimited leaving privileges. The cable package only has about 10 channels. All in all, it’s just a room with beds. Nothing else. Anything else, and I mean anything else, is extra.
