One Night at Lake Louise--try some where else next time
This seemed to be aimed at college skiers willing to cram into a space with out much care for the surrounding. Room was small, two double beds with no space to move around. I was amazed that they wanted to charge $10 per night for wireless. Everyother hotel I have been to in years has free wireless -- what is that. Restaurant is limited and not cheap. I will try my luck elsewhere next time.

A super facility
Centrally located. Within walking distance to all local establishments. This would be my first choice to stay if I return.

Adequate, but not appealing
On a positive note, the staff here was extremely friendly and bent over backwards to keep us happy. Even brought up a fridge and microwave when we asked, no charge, and brought up anything we asked for promptly. The room was kept clean and made up. The bathroom was recently remodeled, great shower! On the downside, the room was quite small for modern standards. No place to put luggage. Also no air conditioning, which in August was the biggest problem......room gets unbearably warm. Windows open, but cant get any circulation. The place is popular with tour groups, so buses leave very early in the morning and make a racket. Some of the tour groups were rowdy, partying on the lawn until 1:30 am, and the motel does nothing to stop it. So in fairness, there was some good, some bad, but I will try another place next time.
Traveler's tip on dining
For dining, dont miss the Post Hotel just across the street. You may have to take out a second mortgage on the homestead to do it, but it is worth the memory. Extraordinary gormet menu and supreme service. And if that is too pricy, try the Fairmont Hotel just up the rode. Also a bit pricey, but worth the view.
