A great value.
Hotel Del Mar was very nice with updated decor. Rooms in European hotels can be very small and a bit noisy, but if you’re aware of this going in, then no problem. A great value.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
A couple of blocks from the main train station. Close to some restaurants and an interesting walk distance to the Barcelona Cathedral.

Not Pleased
The hotel’s air conditioning was not working and they did not inform us of that before we checked in. Then, once we realized the a/c did not work there were no other hotels in the area available. The hotel staff was not very nice during the whole situation and did not seem to be concerned at all or willing to help us in the situation.

Hotel Del Mar: A little sketchy on the outside, but great on the inside
Hotel Del Mar is located very close to the revitalized waterfront area. We got their early in the morning and the hotel was surrounded by stores with graffiti on their fronts. We were pleasently surprised by our room and its great view of the city. The description on the website of the room was spot on. Great hotel!!
