Great location for Charlotte arts
The hotel was centrally located in uptown Charlotte, within easy walking distance to many theatres, bars, restaurants, the public library, and Discovery Place. Complimentary breakfast buffet was well-appointed and better than most I have sampled. The staff, although friendly, seemed preoccupied and aloof, both behind the front desk and in the restaurant. The room was exceptionally clean, but without the comforts of a mini-fridge. No mini-bar either, just an overpriced bottle of water on the nightstand. Excellent view from the 15th floor. Also, although this is a nice part of Charlotte, there are many homeless on the streets near the library and Spirit Square, so single travellers and women should take care to remain alert.
The hotel charges $12 per day for self-parking in their underground deck with easy in-out access with room key. Safe and close! The entrance to the parking deck is through the pull-through breezeway that fronts Trade St.

Would Come Back!
We had a great stay at the Marriott in Charlotte. Being right downtown, it is close to many activities and night life. The scene is great, especially being in such an urban area. Hotel was a great price and I couldnt be happier. This is the nicest Marriott I have stayed in hands down.
