fantastic stay
Our stay at Hotel Spinne Grindelwald was truly memorable...a lovely room (with an adjoining open terrace), great service, fantastic food (try their home-made pasta..it’s to die for!!!) and a breath-taking view of Mount Eiger. This is THE place to stay in if you are visiting Grindelwald!

Cozy and comfortable
Spinne is a charmer. The staff is nice and friendly, the dining room views are to die for and the spa is a great place to relax. Plus, this small hotel seems to be the center of the village night life with the disco-bar in the cellar. Strangely enough, it does not cause enough noise to bother those desiring a quite night’s sleep. The room was large and comfortable, with plenty of storage space. Though not brand new, everything was clean and working properly. A fireplace with couches and chairs downstairs felt as a comfortable living room. It was great to sit there after a long day of skiing and sip a hot chocolate or a coffee with something stronger in it. The only negative seemed to be cost-cutting on seemingly inexpensive things--public computer and internet were from the early 90s, the TV in the room from the same era as well. But they did offer wi-fi and, after all, who goes to Grindelwald to watch TV? I’ve seen another hotel in Grindelwald. This one was larger and offered more daily events, but I didn’t feel that it had the cozy charm of Spinne.

Spinne must-do: enjoy the gorgeous mountain views at breakfast (order hot chocolate), enjoy an hour by the fire place, relax in the spa, and drop by the disco...and don’t forget to check out the skating rink in the sports center

Great spa
Great location, great spa, good value. Not exactly "picturesque" in the way that most of teh hotels in town are, but very nice nonetheless. The very modern spa and central ocation more than make up for this.
