its an older hotel - but in fine condition. Free WiFi was a plus as well as continental breakfast that included: toast/bagels, cereals, fruit, and make them yourself waffles. Good value for the price

Met my needs

I was just there for one night as I coming in for a high school reunion. Arrived mid Saturday afternoon and left Sunday morning. In essence, I relaxed a bit before the reunion and then had a place to sleep that night. Saying all that, I felt comfortable and the hotel met my needs. Price was reasonable. There are probably other hotels that are nicer but a little more pricey. This hotel has been around for over 40 years so it probably has had its best days but it is certainly adequate.

Good motel

The enviroment is good, located in a quiet street. They provide breakfast but it’s closed at 9:30. The room is really spacious

Decent place for a good price

We enjoyed our short stay. Nice big room, quite pool area and interior hallways. Free breakfast was ok, sad thing about that there was a mother cat and her cute little kittens trying to make a go at life and they were harrassed by the management, wish they would have done thier cruel business after us animal loving guests were done!!! I did call an animal rescue group and left a message about these sweet little creatures. Other than that enjoyed our short stay.

Fresno’s Middle of the Road

In the Fresno area for the California State High School Track & Field Championships. Needed a no frills place to stay for the weekend. The staff was polite, the room was clean, the location was on one of the main streets in Fresno. The continental breakfast had hot self made waffles, muffins, cold cereal, fruit, milk and juice. The room air conditioner could have worked more quietly and efficiently. Will stay there again for the 2010 & 2011 meet.

Would not recommend

We stayed here for 6 nights figuring we could save a little money and the entire time I wished we had spent more. The bed was as hard as a rock and our air conditioner did not work in our room. The walls are extremely thin and we heard everything from a neighbor with their TV on ALL night long, to a baby crying for it’s many feedings throughout the evening, to low class people shouting to each other down the hallways early in the morning.

Good value and clean

Very good value for what we paid though this was off season. The lady at the reception desk was very helpful and friendly. Only stayed here for one night but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would stay here again.

I was content staying here.

I needed an inexpensive hotel to stay at for 3 nights and I was satisfied with the service the hotel provided. They had a great breakfast in the mornings. The only thing I would suggest is that they need to update the room decor, bedspreads, blankets, furniture, etc. But overall it serviced my purpose for an inexpensive price. Also, the room and outside of the hotel was very clean, which is important to me.

Our second home while in Fresno

We were a group of 9 in two adjoining rooms we were all very comfortable and relaxed.Beds are exceptionally comfortable and rooms are very spacious.Bathrooms were tight but acceptable. There were not enough sockets,and the bath flooor needed more detail cleaning.Those are my only complaints. The next time we as a group are in Fresno this will be our second home.

Comfortable room with work table and chairs

Located on Blackstone at Ashley near shopping areas and still near the air port. It was a comfortable room, spacious enough with a table for work and/or games.

Not Impressed - Very Weak Breakfast

The room was spacious and clean, but the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows were quite hard. In addition the brown blanket and bedspread were adequate but boring. And...don’t waste your time on getting breakfast here unless you want white toast or a bagel. There was no protein at all...not even peanut butter. Just carbs and very weak on the cereal. Just get in your car and drive somewhere for breakfast.

Best Value Water Tree Inn is a decent place to stay

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay in the Fresno area, this isn’t a bad deal. The free continental breakfast is minimal, but will definitely get you through till lunch. The 2 queen bed hotel room I stayed in was large with a table, wi-fi and had plenty of room to move around in with my wife and 3 children. The area seemed like a good part of town, although I am from Texas and can’t really tell you for sure. I read the other recent reviews and found them to be accurate. If you are looking for a place to stay for a few days and don’t want to pay for frills and such, this is probably a reasonable place to stay.

I’ll Stay There Again

I’m a former Fresno resident, so I knew it was located in an alright neighborhood. Very convenient for weary-hiked Yosemite legs. Right off Hwy 41 and just a couple miles from the STILL growing/very popular River Park Shopping Center w/restaurants galore for even the pickiest eaters. Don’t be afraid of the old-school exterior buildings. The rooms inside were much nicer and cleaner than I expected. It surpasses some other "3-star" places I’ve visited. Even though it seemed popular for the tourist buses (and people there for dance competitions), the pool remained near empty of people most of the time...and it was so QUIET in the halls and our room!!! The rate was so awesome that it was worth my while to stay here and drive...even with the high gas prices. The staff was excellent about fulfilling our needs for even the simplest of things such as extra towels for the pool. It’s a great place to stay and bring the kid(s)...I did..and I’d do it again!!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Make sure you take a few minutes to peruse their breakfast nook. They offered a variety of food and beverages each morning..Far superior to the ’continental breakfast’ so many named hotels claim to offer. It’s a great money saver and there’s no additional costs..Especially helpful when you’ve got more than one mouth to feed (and stuff for the picky eater, too). There’s even things you can grab ’to go’. A filled stomach is a happy hiker!

America best value inn

We were looking for a hotel near Yosemite. I found a inn near Fresno 60 miles from Yosemite. Price was reasonable and breakfast was good. I recommand to Yosemite traveler.

Disapointed

Would not stay here again. The bathroom was not clean. Shower tile grimy.

Hotel is very easy to get to and staff was very helpful.I was pleased with my overall stay.Our room was not so modern , but just what we were looking for in comfort.We had many choices for dining within a short distance and that made it more enjoyable.

Not Impressed

I woke up late went to jump in the shower and had no hot water, so I ended up with no shower.

Just a place to rest your head for the night.

For an one night stay to rest after driving 200 miles this place will suffice. Not a hotel for any length of stay for more than an overnighter. The king bed was very lumpy and very slept on. The towels are thin and worn out. You can tell the quality of the hotel by the quality of their towels and linen. For the price this hotel was adequate but only for one night (for me).
