Costa Rican Paradise
This hotel was excellent. The property sits on over 2000 acres, and it is immaculately beautiful. There are so many different activities to do so you dont even have to leave the hotel premises. All of the staff members are very pleasant and eager to assist you.
The rainy season ends in October.

Four Star Hotel - Needs Some Updating
The hotel would be categorized as a Four Star Hotel. The room we stayed in (by the main pool area) was nicely situated and generally clean and well kept. However, we did have a problem with our room air conditioner, the thermostat did not work and the room was much to cold. We contacted the front desk about it, but we were unable to get it fixed. The overall condition of the hotel needs some updating. The staff provided good service and were generally helpful. The food was average to above average depending on were you ate. Both the Gabi (Continental) and Aztec (Mexican) were very good. The Hightide Activity Center was overpriced on their tour packages and we did not use the locals operating tours from the beach (unsure if they could be relied on). We did arrange tours through the Swiss Travel Services located in the Hotel shop area. We would highly recommend them for both service and price.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Highly recommend the Mega Combo (canopy tour, water slide, horseback riding & hot springs) and the Palo Verde National Park Boat Tour offered through Swiss Travel services.

Absolutely fabulous, and for kids its great
Take your family, even young kids, go for family reunions, go for a romantic getaway with your loved one. Great property. Private beach, lots of activities, incredible food in the reservations only sit down restuarants. Buffets were fine, but every night try to get a dinner reservation. You wont be disapointed.
Take walkie-talkies, go snorkeling at the end of the beach with your kids, make your dinner reservations at the fabulous restaurants as soon as you arrive
