Good Stay
Was my first trip to Santa Cruz.. The hotel was fine and a good value but I was a little dissapointed with Santa Cruz. It’s a little run down with a lot of homeless drinkers down on the boardwalk.

Had a great time
If you are looking for a nice place to stay close to the beach and Downtown Santa Cruz but not real expensive this is the place. Except for not great room remodel (mostly wall repairs) our room was nice clean and had a nice feel to it. with a nice pool side view. The beach and downtown were just a few blocks away. We were looking for a place we could stay when in Santa Cruz a few times a year and this is it. Check it out.

Good value & location.
Found the room to be very comfortable and clean for the price - good value. Didn’t make use of the pool but it looked very inviting. Didn’t have any problem with parking. The location was great, we walked to the boardwalk nearby and also out to the end of the pier to have dinner - we liked Riva’s. We will definitely return.
Traveler's tip on dining
If you are in the mood for some great home cooked Mexican (fast) food I highly recommend Las Palmas taco bar located half way between the motel and the pier. This is a favorite with locals & college students - good food & prices.
