An okay hotel for a short stay
This hotel is located right on the Hwy 17 and is easy to acess from southbound Hwy 17. We did find it difficult to acess from northbound Hwy 17, as you have to make a U-turn on a fairly busy highway. The room itself (king suite) was very spacious and clean, initally. We don’t like getting up early and use the "do not disturb" sign but found this to be an issue with maid service. Our sign was still up around 10:45am when we left for the beach around this time taking our sign down. As we left our room there were several maid carts on the floor. When we returned from the beach around 4pm, we discovered a bag with one towel and soap outside our door. Upon entering the room, the room was not cleaned. I questioned this with the front desk and they reported our "do not disturb" sign was up. Well it may have been up when they first passed by but it was not up when they left the floor nor when they dropped off the bag with one towel and soap. I was able to pick up extra towels at the desk and while down there saw a maid seated on the sofa in the front of the hotel; in my mind this was unacceptable. Our overall experience was that the front desk personnel were pleasant and allowed us an extra hour for check out. I am not sure I would stay her again, but as for others, just make sure you keep on top of the maids, as they seem fairly lazy.
