4 star stay, 2.5 star price.
Yeah, 5 stars would be a bit of a stretch... but the room was really nice. The hotel dining was marvelous (gotta try the Steak and Lobster buffet on fri and sat nights). Shopping was a disappointment, as there is only a factory outlet-type strip-mall. Overall, it was a great stay, and everything to do with the hotel was top-notch.

Great Stay at Goldstrike
We were on the 26th floor and had an amazing view of the other casinos and the Mississippi River, very cool high ceilings, big windows. This was a redecorated room from the older photos I had seen on their website, king bed with padded headboard. Flat screen TV, big bathroom with granite and nice spa toiletries, and plenty of towels. They do give you some bottled water. Hairdryer in bath, the safe is in the closet wall. We ate at the buffet instead of the Steakhouse due to not really having a lot of time before going to a concert. They have all types of food and free wine. Typical buffet, some really good things, some not so good, but all in all a good value. The lobby and spa areas are elegant and upscale. There are two separate large hot tubs and an indoor pool, we just did not have time to use them. There is a resort fee of $5 anyway. They have a brunch buffet in the morning, but we ordered room service because we were still enjoying our fabulous room. Room service took FOREVER but our server got us a late checkout to 1 p.m. so we could eat breakfast without having to rush. Room service is expensive, but the food was really good. We had eggs benedict, hash browns, and mimosas. Check in and out went smoothly, maid service was friendly. I paid a little more than I normally would have for a casino hotel room, but because of the many concerts that weekend at the various casinos, and because the room and service was great, I felt it was a great value!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Tunica River Park Museum and the hiking trail are really cool and very near the resort.
