Lovely place
This hotel was in a great location- near shops and must see sights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was served daily and provided a good start to a day on foot. The restaurant had wonderful food for dinner and the service there was also very nice. I would definitely stay at Hotel Elefant again.

Nice Hotel
We thought the Elefant was a little gem with a great location, but extremely hard to find by car. Definitely call for directions.

Perfect Location
What a great location. Right in the heart of Salzburg! The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The front desk staff was so informative. They really helped us book our tours and find out of the way interesting places to visit. I would stay there again. You have to remember that this building is very old but it is kept spotless! Our only problem was the airconditioner had a hard time keeping up, but the weather is usually cool at night anyway so it wasen’t that big of a deal.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Make sure that you visit the tourist information center and purchase the Salzburger Card. It saved us a ton of money and we saw some attractions that we wouldn’t have spent the money on! Well worth it!

Not impressed.
Very noisey and rooms were cramped, The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Good location in the Old Town
The hotel was pleasant and the staff extremely courteous and helpful. The room was not overly plush, and the cost/value was fair but not great. Still, it’s a fine location and easy to sightsee and shop. I would stay there again, just try to get a better rate through contacting the hotel directly.

Can’t wait to go back
We only booked one night, and when we arrived we wished we had planned more time. This hotel was easy to find (we walked from the train station), and in a great location.
