very old facility
The hotel was apparently renamed from a horward johnson inn. The facility is very old, but room is clean, staff is friendly. If you have a big car, you will have to find your own parking.

Clean but old and tired
We stayed on a rainy Thursday night in June. This was not a great place for us. Unfortunately, we chose it because another Expedia traveler had rated it as clean and recently renovated. Apparently we were not in the renovated room. Although the room had obviously been cleaned, the shabby carpet, old furniture, and old bathroom fixtures (including wobbly toilet)could only get so clean. Clean and shiny is very important to me; other travelors would probably say this was a decent place. As for me, I tried not to walk in my barefeet in this room. The staff were very pleasant, allowing us to switch to a room with a water view for no extra charge. There is a fee for parking that we did not realize until we checked out. And the parking structure is very tight if you have a large car.
Traveler's tip on dining
Loacal Irish Pub (tir ng gog, or something like that) had great brews but food was not so good. Make this a plce to get a beer before going to dinner somewhere nice.

We’ll Be Back
We’ll be back for sure. The staff is great. Location of the hotel is best in town for the price. The hotel was revamped in Spring of 09.
