Somewhat Disappointed
Our primary reason for visiting Ottawa was to go to the heart of downtown. This hotel was within 15 minutes of downtown. That part was good. However the condition of the hotel was disappointing. It seems to have passed it’s glory days of the 80’s, in desparate need of a remodel. Dark wood, old brass, doors that dont work properly, dingy halls, tired rooms, bathroom drains that refuse to accept water, expensive food. I do need to add that the front dest staff were very helpful, and kind. That’s about my only positive comment. For the price we paid, I would have like a little nicer.

Won’t go back
Found the hotel to be noisy, room needed repair, several lights did not work, switches were broken, bathroom needed to be updated, airconditioning unit was extremely noisy and only had one speed working, never shut down so room became excessively cool. Overall stay was a disappointment from the first stay we had there a few years ago. Location is great as far as accessiblity to shopping, transit and highway.

Second year in a row at the hotel. We will make it 3 next year.
The only problem was that both years we stayed there there were "children" (about 30) on our floor. Next year I am requesting a "family" floor only. Not a convention of children... But otherwise, the hotel was great. Close to everything.
