London’s worst Best Western.
The house keeping service was terrible. We had to ask for toilet paper and the other bathroom amenities were usually not replaced. The hotel could not help us print boarding passes without many complications. This hotel is rated 4 stars. Where that rating came from I don’t know. My rating would be minus 4 stars. We would never stay there again.

Ongoing repairs, likely to not get a room
I booked and paid for a guaranteed room, only to find that there were no rooms available. I was told that ongoing repairs had given them a shortage of rooms, and I would not be able to stay there. While waiting for a cab to leave, I noticed that other guests of the hotel came in and complained furiously to the hotel staff. One group was angry because their room was "a cellar", presumably without windows, and underground. Others were upset because they also had no room. I recommend against booking this hotel for any reason, if you can avoid it.

it smelled
Although the hotel is conveniently close to Paddington Station, I felt that the service and quality of the hotel was not worth the stay. The lobby had a bad odor. My room was in the basement with a view of a trashy tiny courtyard. The front desk never answered the phone when there was a problem with the room.
