Love the atmosphere. Continental breakfast was great.

Our TV didn’t work and the very friendly maintenance man had absolutely no idea how to fix it. The phone in our room only worked on loudspeaker... Very nice personnel and great breakfast! We spent a nice quiet night in a comfortable bed at this hotel.

Good for business travelers

The Wild Palms is at the corner of two busy streets, not a real pretty place but, for the business traveler it’s OK. Not really a place for a vacation.

Quiet relaxation in busy san jose- loved it

this hotel was great, not only did they check us in early, but within 10 minutes of arrival the front desk called to make sure we had everything we needed. the whole hotel is adorable. Its like a little mexican paradise with waterfalls,flowers,cabanas and bungalows all over the place. The corridors smell like relaxing lavender and there is candles lit in the evenings. Laying by the pool was completely relaxing,with birds churping and sounds from the tranquil waterfall. Anytime we ran out of anything the hotel staff replenished it within minutes. The continetal breakfast was full and if something ran out, it was replaced immediately. Great, great, place for my family to destress and relax after a recent family illness. I left refreshed,spirit restored... I felt like i’d traveled to paradise with extra money in my pocket! Great price for a secret hideaway in San Jose :)

Goooood hotel

It’s reasonable but clean. The front desk clark is kindful. The hotel locate on a big street and looks busy. But we could forget the busy once we were at inside pool with tropical tree.

Poorly maintained, deceiving

The pictures of this hotel are deceiving. It’s nowhere a nice as it looks. It is poorly maintained (unclean grounds, two lamps in our room didn’t work, etc.) The walls are paper thin and I could hear every word said by the guy in the next room. Plus, it’s not in the nicest area. Even for the price, it’s not worth it.

Rude staff, overpriced noisy hotel.

We stayed in this hotel twice within one week. The first two days were very nice, most of the staff we had to deal with was helpful and pleasant, our room was at the back of the hotel so it was quiet and I could sleep with window open. Even though at the end of our stay WiFi in the building we stayed in stopped working the way staff handled situation made problem bearable (we need internet access constantly while travel on business). We were so happy with our stay that returned to the motel in four days. I was very sorry we did. Every staff member we encountered during our second stay was dismissive and had no desire to deal with customers. It felt like they did not really need any more customers. The room we were assigned to (we asked for a quiet room) faced busy intersection (forget open windows and better draw the curtain), the quality of the room furnishing and appliances were inferior. The internet connection in our old building was not repaired yet (it is OK, things happen) but instead of admitting that they are still working on it lady at the front desk attempted to suggest that it is the way WiFis’ usually are: they do not work in multiple buildings. Both times the breakfast in the morning was very unsatisfactory; they constantly run out of food in the middle of the breakfast, the selection was very poor and quality inferior. The quality of service at this hotel does not reflect price range or market niche they attempt to belong to.

we moved our business somewhere else after our second stay and we are not going back. there are plenty of comfortable and welcoming hotels at this price range in the area.

fine but not impressed

It’s a nice place to stay but they should improve in certain areas. For example while sitting and having breakfast items were being removed for example the coffee. The Hot tub was not clean of course I asked to have it clean and that was done but I think that is one area that should always be checked especially if it is being used. Also the bed was not that comfortable in fact I woke up with a back ache. Finally some of the staff at the desk were quite rude especially when I complained about the breakfast.

Hotel was nice and clean, the room was very comfortable and really quiet. The location was close to all the activities we wanted to do

A Nice Retreat...

Pleasantly surprised upon my arrival at the Wild Palms Hotel! Fun decor and a clean, comfortable room. The vibe of the hotel made it nice to be in a mundane lifeless Sunnyvale.

Check out the Mountain Winery for excellent music, incredible views and a lovely drive.

Not bad

It was a very nice hotel for the Money we spent.. Only small issue was the tropical music playing too early in the A.M.

Time for a ’face lift’!

I’ve stayed at the WP several times and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere. This last time was not a good experience. My room reeked of cigarette smoke, wallpaper was peeling and carpet was stained. Time for a ’face lift’, but don’t lose the atmosphere!

okay hotel

This hotel is okay if its in the area you are looking to stay. The breakfast isnt that good (cereal, hardboiled eggs, muffins, toast) and its super crowded, I took my breakfast back to my room. Our restroom in our room was neat looking with the cool sink but super tiny. They are remodeling so perhaps in the furture this place will be better.

nice quiet place to stay

This was a very nice and quiet place to stay in the middle of sunnyvale- Santa clara area. though the ice machine is a good walk away if you are in the back section of the hotel.

We really enjoyed the location and comfort of this hotel...The staff was very friendly. The morning breakfast was an added bonus. I also thought the beds were very comfortable. The only issue is one for light sleepers, sometimes the outside noise is noticable.

A nice Surprise, Clean, Affordable, Easy Access. Attractive Layout.... Just Get a Lounge!

Only thing lacking was more sunshine and warmer weather.

This was a very nice hotel. I liked the open air lobby. The room was somewhat small but very compfortable and the bed and bedding was very nice.

The Wild Palms was such a nice surprise to us. We have stayed at 5 star hotels that were not as clean and friendly as the Wild Palms. It was quite, clean and the staff was helpful in every manner. It is a hidden oasis! We have family in San Jose and have struggled to find affordable hotels that are nice/clean. Our search is over, we have found our home away from home. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed

Nice hotel

Nice hotel for business trips to Silicon Valley. The rooms are clean and very comfortable (plus free wireless internet). The staff is friendly and accommodating. Excellent value for money. The only thing that needs major improvement is breakfast (no hot food: eggs etc.)

2.5 week stay, quite a good value.

I chose the Wild Palms hotel for a three week business/personal trip to the Bay Area. It turned out to be a superb value. The location is a bit off the beaten track but convenient to most everything south of San Francisco. The staff was attentive, the room clean and comfortable, and the price quite good. When I first checked in, there was a problem with the AC unit and another with a faucet dripping. I left a note and both were fixed when I returned. I’d definitely stay here again.
