A great stay in Allentown
Really enjoyed my stay here. I was visiting my daughter at college a few miles away. The staff was very helpful when I needed directions on the way there in the dark, they helped guests to get around unexpected traffic (mile long lines for free flu shot), and provided information of any kind requested. Room comfortable, attractive and relatively quiet. Neutrogena toiletries provided and lots of good-sized towels. Breakfast was up to par for this type hotel, though the fruit could be of better quality (lots of brown bananas) and the addition of plain yogurt (less sugary options) would be great. I selected this hotel based on online ratings I read and will book this next time I go to Allentown.
The covered bridge tour taken at the end of the fall foliage was great (map found via online tourist info.). Also the Allentown Art Museum and gift shop is worth a stop. Trexler Park is a great place for a run (two loops 1 or 1.5 miles), water fountain, historical monuments, structures, sculpture, beautifully maintained), however there are many other parks that also looked to have good potential. Recommended healthy lunch spot with vegetarian options, Cali Burrito, and Pistachio Bar & Grill serves some creative and tasty fare.

Good breakfast
Though somehow our roll away request never got passed along to the hotel, and by the time we arrived they had run our of roll aways and our son ended up sleeping on an air mattress on the floor for 3 nights, otherwize the hotel was great. Nice pool with a seporate hot tub and a wonderful buffet breakfast.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Allentown Art Museum is worth the trip! Though small in size, its collection includes masterworks of artists that one would not expect to see outside of the top museums (the Met. in NYC, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Prado in Spain etc.)
