Maltas Hotel With Service and a Smile
The Victoria hotel is not a state of the art hotel, but a historic hotel. We were impressed by the attention to detail upon our arrival and the care to ensure we new where to go when arriving after 10:00 P.M. for a great dinner! The only issue we had and they did send someone to resolve the issue was the A/C would constantly turn off in the night. This was due to it being monitored by a motion detection device to save energy. I believe they now realize that this a night when people are sleeping is not a good idea. For the $ and the location we would return to this hotel for a wonderful stay in Malta!

Nice hotel, GREAT RESTAURANT, pretty convenient location
Hotel was nice, restaurant and staff in particular - best food and most courteous service we had anywhere in Malta! The pool and sauna were nice after a long (cold) day out. Room was fine - we had two twin beds instead of a queen, which isnt that unusual for Europe, however our beds were several inches apart and had their own separate sheets, which was a bit odd. We were able to control the temperature of our room, which was wonderful! We happened to be in Malta during the coldest weekend in 50 years, and since most places there dont seem to be built to withstand cold weather, it was really nice to come back to a warm room! Hotel is a few blocks from the closest bus stop, so it was convenient for us to get around.
Traveler's tip
Malta is extremely windy - or at least was during our trip (February). Recommend packing warmer than you might think is necessary if you go in winter. Also, most buildings are either not heated or are heated very minimally, so plan to wear warm layers under your coat even for dining out and going to indoor attractions.
