Impressive
My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time at the hotel. It offers three great pools overlooking the ocean and seems to offer a lot of activities for families. The one area of concern with the hotel is that it is very isolated. If you do not rent a car or motorcycle, hiring a taxi to get around Phuket is pretty expensive. There are also no restaurants really close by (have to get a taxi) so you will end up eating most of the meals at the hotel. However, after saying that, the meals at the hotel are excellent and they offer a wide range of choices and types of restaurants.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel offers hour long massages on the beach for a lot cheaper than going to the actual spa located on the hotel. The spa does offer great services and I would recommend using some if you are not afraid to spend a little money.

Very nice but a bit to far !
If you want seclusion this is great but if you stay for a week or more its too far. Laundry service is way to expensive, they need to improve on thier cocktails and need more sundries in the store, geared toward the onsite Villa crowd. Beautiful grounds and the staff is excellent. The beach is nice but steep tough to lay out there the sand is fine pebbles but they have some very nice pools. Food was excellent even had Thanksgiving dinner for us Americans. No nightlife you have to hire a taxi and ride for 40 minutes.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Very easy to get to from the Phuket airport, but dont buy any extras get them at the hotel. We took the Luxe guide it helped when we wanted to explore the towns. Great golf courses in the area take a change of clothes when you play most have excellent locker rooms. Dont forget your electric converter 220v only. Tuk Tuk drivers are like vultures. If you rent a car be careful.

Wonderful Resort
My family and I had a very pleasant stay. The resort is isolated from the rest of the island but we were only at the resort for three days so we did not feel the need to go anywhere else. The pools are wonderful but we were disappointed that there were no hotel facilities on the beach (chairs, umbrellas, etc.) The restaurants were great. The resort was very close to the airport which is convenient.
