Okay hotel, nothing special
Our stay in San Francsico was great, the Adante hotel was satisfactory. Nothing special, if your looking for a cheap place this is it. Small but nice, great locatioin to union sqaure.

Wouldn’t stay here
The location of this hotel is close to many things downtown. However, it is just a block or two from the "bad" part of the city. Did not feel safe walking close to the hotel. Rooms are small and in poor condition. Windows did not lock, and many are on the fire-escape. I had two rooms and both had sticky carpet. The first room had stained sheets. The second floor smelled like urine though my room did not. I arrived back at my room after being out and found a man’s dirty dress sock laying on my bag. It was not mine and I was not traveling with a man. Staff was excellent. Very helpful and responded to my concerns promptly. Elevator is a little rickety. If you’re adventurous this is much cheaper than most in the area.
