Would definitely stay there again

The hotel staff was mostly very friendly. The woman who initially checked us in and we had the most contact with was EXTREMELY nice. She was very helpful with any questions we had. It would have been a "5" straight across except for one of the gentlemen who worked the desk a couple of evenings was rather rude. The area around the hotel is great. There are several bakeries, restaurants, bars and stores. The hotel is indeed only a couple of blocks from The St. Georges stop on the Metro.

Quiet, quaint, and lovely.

This is a small hotel a bit off the beaten path, but in a neighborhood filled with restaurants, chocolat shoppes, and patissiers. Donia, the desk clerk, was especially helpful and friendly. The rooms are small, but clean. I would consider staying there again if I returned to Paris.

We took a bus tour the first day and a half to learn the layout of the city and decide what areas to visit. We have done this in other cities. In Paris, the traffic was so congested that the bus was quite slow. Learn the Metro system and use it. Very easy.

This hotel is a gem...

The location was great for getting around Paris. It is a fifteen minute walk to Sacre Couer and Montmarte. The Metro was close as were the buses. Eating was no problem as the area is surrounded with restaurants, small groceries and bakeries. The staff, particularly Dounia and Lisa, spoke wonderful English and were able to direct us on how to get around. The room was clean and neat, but small, and we enjoyed having a refrigerator in the room so we could economize on water, snacks and soda pop. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for convenience, safety and comfort in Paris.

A good place to stay...

I have to say that i love to walk so for me this hotel is well located: Montmartre, L’opera, le Moulin Rouge are some of the places that you can go, i even went to the Eiffel tower walking that was a little far away. this hotel is in a residential neighborhood is very safe and you can find easily some restaurants, supermarkets, markets and bakeries. The service quality was good, i could practice my french with the receptionists who were very kind. the only bad thing was the breakfast, too expensive. I spent 7 days in Paris and for me was the best choice.

good location

If you are a budget traveler, this hotel is a good choice. I booked it because of the decent price. (Paris is expensive overall) I love the location. It’s so close to the tourism area (by walk) but far enough to have your peaceful stay. Metro is around the corner which is so wonderful since Metro is our main transportation during the stay.

Traveler's tip

you can rent Bile $1 Euro a day (it’s all over the city) - but bring a AE card (somehow visa and master card don’t work in the renting bike machine because US doesn’t have the smart chip in our card)

Great location at an affordable price

The hotel has a very good location, 5 minutes walking from a metro station (Pigalle). It is very clean and at least the triple room is very comfortable. The hotel staff is very nice and always willing to help its guests. One of the girls in the reception speaks a fluent English, which is very helpful. There is a small store in the corner of the hotel, which is convenient if you want to buy water, snacks, etc. There are some restaurants and bars around the hotel, but only three or four.

Great base for site seeing.

This was our first trip to France and our stay here was very nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and most spoke English. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Saint George Metro, which makes it nice for site seeing. They also called us a Taxi when we needed one for transportation to the airport. Our room was a little small, but comfortable. Many shops and restaurants nearby the hotel. My wife and I give the Hotel and staff an A+ !

Comfortable but with drawbacks

The hotel staff were excellent. Very friendly, helpful and available. They went out of their way to accommodate people. This includes the chambermaids as well as the desk clerks. The hotel was clean but showing signs of age. The room was affordable, but very small. The neighborhood was quite noisy. There was air conditioning to drown out the noise, but with the window open, I was privy to lots of arguing in the streets. There were wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby with great food. But in only a few blocks, one is in the red light district. I nonetheless (as a single woman) was able to be out after dark safely.

A very good place to stay

The hotel is in a very good location in the St. George quarter, close to the Metro. The St. George quarter is an interesting and vibrant quarter. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is clean and bright and nicely decorated. The carpet could stand cleaning. The room is small but that is to be expected in Europe. The shower is quite small, large persons would have difficulty using it. I’m about 180 and could barely turn around in it. I would definitely stay there again. Overall a charming hotel.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

There are boulangeries close by, be sure to stop in and buy some croissants and other goodies. Also if you stop at the little Mom & Pop places you can buy fruit and juice for breakfast but do that the day before as nothing seems to be open before 10am. except for the boulangeries.

Good Hotel

Clean and basic, if a bit cramped. Solid choice if you want to spent your time out and about exploring Paris.

Great Stay

We stayed in August, the A/C worked great, the room was clean and the staff was most helpful. The location was outstanding, a couple blocks from access to the Metro, near Cafes, Bakeries, and grocery stores (a source for lower price Diet Coke).

A pleasant stay, but a bit of a walk

A charming boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The rooms were small, but clean. It is a bit of a walk from the main attractions of Paris, but the metro is very close. A great hotel on a budget!!

Little Gem

Just returned from week long trip and couldn’t have better things to say about this charming boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly, spoke excellent English and made our trip fantastic. Located one block from the St. Georges stop on the metro (12 line) and within walking distance to L’Opera and Montmarte (depending on your stamina) Rooms were very clean and big enough. We would stay here again in an instant.

Traveler's tip on dining

Kastoori is a great Indian restaurant up the street that is very reasonably priced. A lot of locals there when we went, which is always a good sign.

Great Hotel

We liked this hotel alot. English speaking staff friendly and helpful. Room small but clean. Our room faced the street and it was a little noisy. Breakfast buffet is a good value. Metro close by. We would stay again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Buy the Paris Pass before you go. Unlimited museum and transportation. Very handy. Take the metro everywhere.

A great bargain, and in a nice neighborhood

A nice hotel with friendly staff. This hotel is just a block or two from the Saint-Georges stop on the number 12 metro. Because it is so close to a metro stop, you can get anywhere in Paris relatively quickly. The only minor complaint that I might have was that the room air conditioner did not provide any cool air at all. This problem was easily solved by sleeping with both windows open (it was very quiet in this residential neighborhood). I would hate to stay in that same room during the summer, though.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This room has a mini-fridge and a two-burner hot plate. There is a supermarket just up the block (away from the direction towards the subway stop). Even if you aren’t up to cooking in your room, you can save some money by purchasing snacks and drinks at the grocery store and keeping them in your room.

Great Location!

Full of modern, elegant, charm, an older building that was recently (within the last several years?) renovated. Small room but very clean, modern bath, comfortable, good mattress. Desk clerks very friendly and helpful. Great neighborhood with great bistros and cafes, charming shops, easy access to the Metro. Walking distance to Sacre Coeur. Do not get a room on the street side; you might enjoy the view but very noisy all night (trucks, scooters, etc)

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

People warned us about how rude the French can be; My husband and I are frequent travelers to foreign countries and wherever we go, we always try to speak a few words in the language and smile and act friendly, not demanding or condescending. After all, we are guests in their country. We would expect the same of visitors to the USA.We have yet to have the experience where "everyone" was rude. You get what you give!

OK for tourism

Decent small room (as most Parisian’s)for the price, somehow clean but not extremely clean. Good size bathroom which was clean. No toiletries, so bring yours. Nice plasma TV. Crappy and expensive breakfast so you may want to have breakfast out. The neighborhood has many. Close to Montmatre and within walking distance of 2 metro stations. I’d recommend it if you don’t plan to enjoy for long a hotel room.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Bring your own toiletries and water. There is no coffee maker or fridge. The staff spoke decent English.

Great hotel

Les Trois Poussins is a really excellent hotel for those wanting a dependable base for sight-seeing, and even for those who want a comfortable place to take a break from the Parisian rain. The hotel is nicely decorated and in a very convenient location, with restaurants and grocery stores right nearby. Management was really nice when we had to alter our reservation last minute and include an extra guest, and our room was much (!) larger than I had expected -- extremely roomy, especially by Paris standards. It’d be hard to find a hotel as comfortable and stylish for the price range.

Comfortable & Friendly

Nice quiet friendly hotel. I was in Paris on business. My 4 room requirements are that the hotel have at least 3 stars, a room with a bathtub, a close proximity to a main Metro line, and internet access in the room. All 4 were good. The internet cost was a reasonable $4.00 euros per day. The only hassle was that you had to purchase it every day. Purchasing it once for your whole stay was not an option. It was a minor detail. I would recommend this hotel to both leisure & casual business travelers.

great location

very quiet & clean. the location is great. just one comment on the service: breakfast is not included, you have to pay additional 10 euros/person, and it’s only served ’til 10 am. considering time difference, we were always late anyway. the hotel is located in walking distance practically to anything you want to visit/see in paris.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

we saved on taxi by taking shuttle from charle de g. airport to opera. it only costs 9.8 euros/person and runs every 45 min. from 6:00am to midnight. then it took us 10 min. walk to the hotel. the same way we got to the airport on the way back.

It is located at a convenient location....2 minutes walk to the train station. People were very friendly. There was construction goign on when we stayed in the hotel and the staff was more then helpfull. They shiwed us (5) different rooms to choose from before we could make our mind.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

5 minutes walking distance from Moulane Rouge Show and the Night Life.
