Good and cheap for a short stay
Canova is in a good location, only a few minutes from Central Station and about 25 minutes walk to Milan’s shopping district, Duomo. The rooms are small, but acceptable for the price. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Not child friendly
We picked this hotel because one reviewer regarded it as child friendly. The hotel lobby had free maps of Milan. However, the front of the map consisted of an large advertisement for a strip joint offering lap dancers. My 8 year old grandson, who likes maps, picked it up and asked me what lap dancing was. We also expected a room with a double bed and a sofa bed, but such was not the case, so it was a difficult night for my wife, my grandson, 3 1/2 year old grand daughter, and me. Under no circumstances would I recommend this hotel unless you are seeking a place that provides free information on where to find a lap dancing strippers.

More than adequate
We used the hotel as a place to catch an early morning bus to the airport. It was perfectly fine for that purpose. And the price was right.
