Bang for your Buck
The room we stayed could use some updated furniture such as the couch and the bed. There was a washer and dryer in the room so next time we will take a smaller suitcase. The grounds are well kept and beach two is just across the road. For the most part it was a quite place and for the money we found it a real value.
I found a real value in flowers for the wife on the way to the crater. If your car has a gps tracking devise do not take the gravel road past the seven sacred pools on the road to Hona or your car might Phone you.

Cheap and close to beach
This place is NOT fancy and there were a lot of "older" folks here, so not a "scene" if that’s what you are looking for, but the condo was clean and quiet, had a nice view of the ocean, and was a 3 minute walk to the beach. I did see a cockroach towards the end of my stay, which promptly got sprayed with bug spray located in the closet. I just wanted somewhere cheap to sleep, as I didn’t plan to hang out there at all, and so this worked fine for me. Would stay there again.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Maui Dive Shop and Maui Kayaks. Had a great two tank shore dive, just me and dive master from Maui dive Shop and a great morning of Kayaking with Maui Kayaks off Makena Landing (Turtle Town).

When on a budget, it’s perfect
I don’t need frills, and for other people that just want a decent room for a good price, this is a great place! You can save money by cooking in the kitchen, and if you’re lucky, you’ll even have a great ocean view...

There’s a great happy hour in the bar just next door on the north side (McGuiliicutty’s? something like that..)
