Very nice condo

We stayed at the Avon Seasons. I would highly reccomend this for the price, location, and size of the condo. When you are booking be sure to specify the seasons. This one is located right across the street from the ski shuttles and the gonodola. There are also many restaurants and shops withinwalking distance. We plan on going back again.

Watch what you choose vs where you end up

My nephew and I really enjoyed skiing at Beaver Creek over spring break this year, we really like the resort and the Avon area. However, when we made our reservations through Expedia, we made our reservations expecting the Seasons lodge within walking distance even in ski boots from the gondola, we stayed last year, it was great. This year we were put in the Chapel Square complex, it was ok, but again not where we expected to be. I never received a good explanation why. Honestly I will be very reluctant to do the trip in this manner especially in the Avon area again.

Traveler's tip

Be wary of being dumped in the Avon center lodging pool, you never know where you will end up.

Avon village in Beaver Creek

This condo complex was very nice. It is very conveniently located within a short walk to the gondolas that will take you to the first Beaver Creek lift. There you can rent skis, buy lift tickets and grab a quick bite. A short lift ride from there and you are on the slopes. The one bedroom we stayed in was very nice, clean and quiet. In door parking adds to the convenience. There is also a bus that takes you to Beaver Creek that is free although we did not use it. On our next trip we would stay there again

Ideal Location

Whether you take the shuttle buses located directly next to Avon Village or walk a hundred yards to the gondola, you are only minutes from the ski slopes. Additionally, a great number of restaurants and bars are easily within walking distance. We plan to make Avon Village our place to stay on future ski trips

Just Fine

Note that this lodging can be in many different buildings in Avon. We were in Chapel Square. It was a strip mall with condos above. Much nicer than it sounds, though a pretty small common area in the condo. Dinner was easy -- just go downstairs to the Outback. Had to take a shuttle to the gondola, but the stop was right across the parking lot.

Wonderful!

Location was perfect for getting to the ski slopes and buses. There were stores in easy walking distance. The room was spacious, well decorated and charming. Parking was easy, and a storage area was available for ski gear.

Very nice Condo

We rented a 2 Bedroom Condo, they called before we got there to see what type of beds we needed. Nice furnishings, underground parking, close to grocery store, and easy drive to Vail.

Good location

Great location, easy to access all local activities, restaurants. The only draw back was no internet connection in room.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Difficult for high speed internet access

Felt like we were in our friends home.

The condo was actually privately owned which made it just that much more homey feeling. Plenty of sleeping space, could comfortably sleep 10 people, had a loft with extra beds, large balcony facing the mountain and 2 bathrooms with a jacuzzi in one of them. The only problem was finding the place as the name Avon Village was nowhere to be seen and none of the locals know it. It was actually known as Beaver Creek. Would defintely stay again.

Not a great place for business travel

The name on the front of the property is not Avon Village, nor is there an address on it, making it very difficult to find. The place is called "Seasons at Avon", and its really a condo building--a run down one at best, that houses seasonal workers. This would be a great place to stay if you are 20 years old with a group of beer drinking party animals, looking for a cheap place to party and crash, as the units are large one bedroom condos. No restaurants or room service. Decent gym.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

avoid this place.

Make sure you know where you are heading

We reserved a two bedroom condo through Expedia and it turned out to be very nice. However, it took us over an hour to find it. The name and address are very misleading. We went to the address listed and they had never heard of "Avon Village". After two more stops, we eventually found what we were looking for (not "Avon Village"). Expedia needs to do a better job of instructing guests on what to do. There was nothing for us to go by. I suggest calling ahead if you can find a telephone number.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The gondola at Vail is free on Friday afternoons and evenings during the summer.

Great location but the place needs a face lift

This was our third stay in the Beaver Creek area, and we have definitely liked our other accomodations in the same price range better. Our 1-bedroom condo unit was clean and of generous size, but the bathroom and kitchen needed updating. The bathroom was very small/tight compared to today’s standards and the kitchen was woefully 1970s, although the furnishings were modern and quite nice. I guess each condo is privately owned, so some are probably nicer than others, although the layout is probably the same for each one. We had no problems checking in and there is ample underground parking. Avon is a nice place to stay if you don’t want to pay the higher prices of actually being in Beaver Creek. There is good shopping and quick access to the gondola from these condos. We liked the location, but will try a different place the next time.

Traveler's tip on dining

There are a bunch of chain restaurants in Avon as well as several good, inexpensive local spots. We liked the little town of Edwards to the West, and then of course you’re very close to Vail for all it offers (without the outrageous prices for accommodations).

Convenience without basic amenities

The location of the room we stayed in was very convenient, within walking distance to all of the Avon area, very close to the multiple bus transfer station. The biggest disappointment about the place was there was no internet connectivity high speedireless or dial up, free or fee based. The other was the poor TV reception especially ESPN, we had to go elsewhere if we wanted to watch basketball games unless they were on another chanel, that could have just been the room we were in, I did notice other rooms had satelite dishes. The Hide a bed couch was not very comfortable.

Can’t wait to go back

The hotel was perfect, but the procesing to get to the hotel was to long, from a plase to another plase it take more than one and half hour to go to the right plase.

Great place; Peaceful & quiet; ideal for a holiday

We got a 2 bedroom lodge in ’The Brookside’, part of the Beaver Creek Resort area. We went in summer, so it was quiet & peaceful. Not much crowd as Avon itself is a small town, around 10 miles west of the busy Vail. The hotel lodge was in very good condition. One thing I liked was the security codes (main entry code and garage code) that were given. Gives you peace of mind when you are travelling. Another thing I liked was that the kitchen was stacked with basic spices for cooking. Only problem was finding the reception area. The address 137 W. Benchmark Rd is not the correct address. The reception for checking in is located in the Beaver Creek Resort entrance, close to the intersection of Avon Rd & Hwy 6.

The easy way to rent personal Condos

We were a bit miffed that the Expedia address for "Avon Village" was actually a Corporate conference center. The actual Reception Center is on the other side of the town, so call ahead to get the correct address! Once we did check in and navigated to our condo’s center, we were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of free underground parking. The condo itself was great! Each one will be a little different, since they are owned by "real" people and have their own furnishings inside. The company you pay money to is just a management service, which in the end is a great arrangement. We enjoyed our stay and thought we had plenty of room to stretch out. I’ll definitely consider staying there again for next year’s trip.

not customer service oriented

The condo itself was beautiful. Very plush and along the river with a great view of the mountains in Avon. Furnishings very comfortable and impecable decor. The problem was that there is not a "Avon Village" and we had to go to 3 places prior to getting to the "clearing reservation area" to get checked in. The directions are non exsistent and ofcourse no phone number as the place "Avon Village" does not exsist. It was snowing heavily and we had to continue to drive around to find the check in area. Even thought the condo was great, I will never stay there again due to the lack of direction related to the check in process. The girl at the desk had a limited English vocabulary, which of course made it even more difficult to check in. (after we found the place)

Avon Village

No maid service and room was too hot. Windows of both bedrooms looked out on a wall. The VCR in the living room wasn’t working. Adequate room but not one you’d want to spend a lot of time in.

Best vacation ever!

We stayed at a 2 BR/2BA condo in Avon Village and it was just fantastic. Parking was free in the underground garage. We had a beautiful mountain view with a a fireplace. The location is so convenient to everything you need. There was a grocery store across the street and some restaurants nearby. We rented ski equipment that was next to the grocery store. Everything was within walking distance. Plus, the bus picked you up to the ski lifts just up the road in Beaver Creek.

After a few days of skiing, take the kids on a snow mobile ride. The snow mobile company will even pick you up from your hotel for free. Kids can ride their own snow mobile from age 14. The Beaver Creek ski area is a great place for families.
