Expected better
For the $ spent and the Marriot name, I expected more. Had to go to the desk to get shampoo, conditioner, and soap. For a smoke-free room, it stunk of cigarette smoke and the TV was practically an antique. The remote only worked to channel up. I could have easily spent less and gotten a better, cleaner room.

We really like the Continental breakfast. We feel it saves a lot of time and money.
We enjoyed the no-smoking feature. You should consider planting trees so that there would be shade in the parking lot. Everything was clean and the shower system is a really nice convenient design.
Traveler's tip
If you are attending a wedding as we were, it is very confusing to drive in that area so you should have computer maps printed not only from point a to point b and also from point b to point a since at times the a street may be called Franklin going from point a to point b but the name changes to waterbury half way down the street.

Lovely stay, would definately come again!
I stayed at the fairfield with my husband and 14mo old daughter as part of a group of 6 couples sightseeing in Philly and New York. This hotel was away from the hustle and bussle of the city, but was awesome to come home to each night. The best was very comfortable and the staff were all friendly. The only complaint I could have (and this wasn’t a big issue, we never spoke to any of the hotel staff about it) was that the pool and spa were cold. The room they were in was heated, but the hot tub/spa was just as cold as the pool, and the pool was luke warm. Nevertheless we all swam and had a great time.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
One of our tour guides is from Jersey, and she told us about Rita’s water ice. There are 2 Rita’s location near the hotel, and we stopped at one on the way out of town. In the summer they don’t open till noon, so we had to wait an hour before they opened.. but it was worth it. My husband and I both got a Gelati.. they were delish!
