In the middle of Paris!
The hotel was great. I stayed for a week. The room was comfortable and larger than I expected. It was very quiet, and I was able to come and go without any problems. The front desk was very helpful on all shifts and assisted me with some tourist questions. It is a great value for the neighborhood. Everything was just steps away, and rental bikes are just outside the door. My only complaint is that there was not a washcloth (must be an American thing).
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Use the rental bikes to get everywhere....see the sites of everything while you do it. The bikes are right outside your door and can be checked in and out at hundreds of locations throughout Paris.

Good value in a great location
We chose this hotel as part of a package and only knew about it based on the information and pictures found on their website. Fortunately, it turned out to be pretty much as advertised. The lobby was pleasant and clean and the staff was friendly, if not particularly effective (explaination coming). We paid a litte extra for the superior room and were glad we did. The room size was very good and the room was clean. The bathroom was marble with two sinks and a deep soaking tub/shower combo. Set-up was odd, though. The toilet was in a separate water closet across the room but had no sink, so you had to go into the other section to wash your hands. A bit strange. Our housekeeper did a good job keeping the room tidy. Overall, the room was just fine. And the location? Fantastic! We were barely a block from the Rue de Rivoli, across from the Tuileries Gardens. This provided a central location from which to walk pretty much anywhere in Paris - and we certainly did. Our only issue was the A/C in our room wasnt working very well. We asked twice at the desk to have someone look at it but apparently no one did. Like we said, friendly service but not especially effective. However, the weather was great for our trip and we had a number of reasonably cool nights, so we merely opened the windows. We didnt ask to move - nor was it offered. However, Paris can get awfully hot in the summer so it had the potential to become an issue, but did not.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel offers a breakfast with the room at an extra charge. When we checked in, they offered us a "deal" by reducing the breakfast rate but would charge us for it each morning of our stay. Dont bother. Grab a cafe and croissant or pastry someplace in the area and start your day that way. Much cheaper and much more Parisian!
