Great location & Big free breakfast
Conveniently located, reasonably priced (for downtown Chicago), exceptionally clean and well maintained.
Parking in Chicago is expensive. Part at the hotel when you arrive, and leave your car there. Use public transportation or taxis, it’s much cheaper and saves you the hassle of dealing with traffic.

Excellent place to stay
Staff was helpful, food was good, and the hoteland room were clean. I will stay there on my next trip to Chicago.

A decent place in the best neighborhood, great service, great price
I was on a business trip and spent 7 nights at the Hampton in September 09. The location is fabulous, places to drink, shop or dine in (short) walking distance, red line one block away, parking available and so on. I heard the fire trucks but windows are well isolated and so they didn’t disturb me. I also liked the free breakfast, coffeemaker and in room kitchenette (don’t know whether all rooms have one though) and used the gym daily. The Hampton is THE place to stay, when you are looking for a place in busy River North, don’t have a car and want to get great service and amenities for little money.
