Ptarmigan House Ski-In/Out Steamboat CO
Ptarmigan House (condominiums) are comfortable, clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. This was the second year that we stayed at Ptarmigan for our ski week at Steamboat. Most convenient because you ski right to the Gondola and free shuttles take you anywhere you need to go, so no need to rent a car.

Will stay here again!
The Ptarmigan House was the perfect ski-in, walk-50-feet-out condo for us. My husband and I are used to staying in three-, four- and 5-star hotels. If you’re looking for 5-star luxury this may not be the place for you. But if you’re looking for a well-furnished, well-laid-out room with a fireplace that is cozy, clean and right on the slopes, this place spot on. The concierge services are excellent. The hot tub is well-located, clean and not crowded, even during high season. The shuttle service is amazing, and you’re close to lots of restaurants and shops. I loved this condo and we can’t wait to come back!

Go to Mahogheny Ridge for happy hour! it’s delicious, cheap and easy to get to by shuttle.

Wonderful Place
Ptarmigan House was a great experience and I will go back there again. We had a Studio with a murphy bed which was plenty of room for 2 people. The couch was a pull out so 4 could sleep there. The kitchen was very well equipped with complementary coffee and bottle of wine. Nice view of the gondolas. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Housekeeping did a great job, they came everyday and always had plenty of towels and soap, shampoos etc. Hot tub was small, room for 4 people, we never had a problem getting into it though. Wireless internet was a disappointment. I could only get connected on 1 day (we were there 4 days) and when I did get connected, it was very slow. The location of the place was the best part. It was about a 100 yard slight hike up before snapping on the skis and ski down to the gondola. When you are done for the day, you can ski right down to the door to take you into the garage where the ski lockers are located. The shuttle service is outstanding. The drivers are very accommodating No one should ever go through the hassle of renting a car. Snowbird restaurant at the Ptramagan Inn was great place for breakfast.
