Wonderful Family Vacation For Less!
My Family & I decided to take a trip to Virgina Beach & chose this hotel. We had a great suite with a beautiful ocean view. In fact, all the suites have an ocean view. This was a very affordable hotel with nice suites to accommodate our family. The Beach was beautiful, even though we went during off season. The jacuzzi tub was a blast and the beds were extremely comfortable! Now, the kitchenette area was very efficient--with a small refrigerator (tall college sized) microwave, sink, and nice dishes/silverware. NOTE: There is no stove, which makes this area efficient and thus a "kitchenette." The strip usually fully opens up during off season after Wednesdays all the way up until the end of the weekend. We ate breakfast at a great place called "Mary’s"which is less than 2 miles from the hotel and it was so affordable and enjoyable (There’s an Early Bird Special before 9am). The location of this hotel is right smack dab in front of everything and close to shopping areas. We could easily jump on the highway and get off about 2.5 miles to go shopping at Target, Best Buy etc. The Convention Center, Coliseum & Virgina Aquarium is less than 5 minutes away!

Stay at the Dolphin!
Went down to VB to visit a navy buddy during the off season so everything was pretty cheap. Rooms were clean service was good. Footsteps away from the beach and right in the middle of the strip so bars and restaurants are in walking distance. The balcony had a great view of the ocean/beach. I mean we did have to stay at a crappy motel for the last night there so mabye my views a little jaded but overall i’d give the Dolphin a thumbs up and thats where I’m staying if i ever decide to cruise back down.
Traveler's tip on dining
Go somewhere else other than Seafood Harbor if your looking to get seafood buffet. Just about everything was deep fried, there was only one kind of fresh fish and nothing was labeled so we didn’t know what we were eating half the time.
