Very pleasant surprise
I usually stay at the Hampton in Great Falls. When it was full, I booked the Crystal Inn at the last minute. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Crystal Inn. The price was very good. The room was clean and large, and the free breakfast was outstanding (everything from waffles to eggs to biscuits and gravy). They even made luggage tags from my business cards while I had breakfast. The only thing that seemed a little dated was the elevator, but it got me to my room so I guess I can not complain too much. I will definitely go back, this is a very good value.

Not what we were expecting
The woman at the front desk was not at all welcoming, actually borderline rude. But the worst thing about the hotel was the smoke. The hallways smelled of smoke, the rooms smelled of smoke. It was so bad that both my husband and I were completely stuffed up and red eyed from the irritating smokiness of our room. We were on a non smoking floor. When we checked out the service was somewhat better but not once were we asked how our stay was. Good thing. The only positive was the breakfast.

If you want a smoke free room, do not stay at this hotel.

Big Truck Noise
The Crystal Inn really is a nice place with very nice rooms. The problem is it’s associated with a very popular truck stop so there are dozens and dozens of semi-trailer trucks parked close to the hotel. Many keep their engines going. People come and go at all hours. So, sleeping was not that easy.
