OK place, but could use a good carpet cleaning
The hotel has a 2pm check-in, which is a problem for overnight travelers from the US, who arrive about 9am. Early check-in could NOT be accommodated. The whole hotel (lobby, halls, rooms) could use new carpets. Big stains on the floor of our room, in the elevator, etc. Breakfast is not included in the Expedia rate, but is available for 13 Euro. We declined, and did well around the corner for 4 Euro each. Great location, about 20 feet from Metro-Centraal entrance, and one block from the rail station to the airport. The railroad runs from the airport to downtown for about 4 Euro, and its an easy one block roll from the station to this hotel.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The Metro pass allows free entry to many museums, all buses, trams, and subways. 33 Euro for three days. We paid for our pass with the first few museums

Clean No-Frills Hotel, Right next to Brussel Gare Central
The hotel is located very close to the Gare Central, 2 minutes walking. (Find your way to the Metro area, and exit to the Rue Des Colonies, you will be standing right next to the hotel). The proximity to the train station, Grand Place, Manneken Pis, Royal Palace and other touristic attractions is nice. They are all within walking distances. Metro is also just off the door step. The lobby is clean and shiny enough. The rooms were standard size, and clean. The bathroom was a little small, but in keeping with European hotel standards and clean. Sheets were clean. Double room had a small sofa, which actually gives some usable floor-space.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Being next to the Metro and Central Station, the commute time is cut short.

For the short stay - good
for the short stay in Brusseles is a good place - only a couple of hundred meters from a Central Station. A old town is nearby and all other important places. A lot of good eating places is in the old town so we never eated in the hotel. They actually not have any place to eat :-)
